Who Wore It Better? Electric Blue Jeans

Have you all warmed up to bright bottoms yet? Obviously the celeb set has. These two blondies have had a visit from the electric blue jean genie. We saw the Ksubi ones on Ashlee Simpson not too long ago and here is Posh in a similar combo. I have to say I hope the next electric blue jean sighting consists of the pairing with a color other than black; I think electric blue looks awesome with white and heather grey as well. As far as these two looks go, I'm thinking Ashlee wore them better. I really don't like VB's chunky belt, and the sporty jacket is too 80s with the bright jeans. Ashlee's top is more flowy and modern. What do you all think?

Recycling fabric is a powerful green living and cost saving strategy. Denim is one of the coolest fabrics to do it with. It's sturdy, gains character with age and can be acquired very inexpensively at yard sales or in your own "old clothes" closet. Some of the coolest ideas I've found?

Pot holders. In my opinion, these look far better out of used denim than the new stuff. And you can incorporate your own style via choice of trim or a patch stitched to the outside. Here's a link to some tips for making your own.
Cool quilts. You can do this in many forms. Different shades of denim patchwork options abound and are certainly sturdy and fun. Unfortunately, one of the coolest ideas I've ever seen I've been unable to find pictures of. It was done with pieced denim, but they had left on all the details like pockets, buttons, belt loops, etc. It made for a really fabulous unique quilt with a lot of attitude. Katy Perry and Kanye West greeted each other yesterday at the Jean-Charles de Castelbajac runway show during Paris Fashion Week. Katy donned an electric blue wig for the presentation, where she and Kanye shared a hug before taking their seats in the front row. Kanye also attended Givenchy on Sunday, where he and Liv Tyler wore matching outfits. Those are just some of the celebrities who have traveled to the City of Lights for the stylish festivities. Jennifer Hudson and Zoe Saldana toasted Michael Kors at a party there earlier this week, and Blake Lively's new position as a Chanel spokesmodel was celebrated at a private dinner on Saturday night. Russell Brand didn't join his wife for her trip, but the pair spent some time together in LA last week before she headed to Europe and she was on his mind when he hit the red carpet in NYC on Monday.
