The stars spread some holiday cheer last night at Gap's new 8,000-square-foot concept store in Soho. The always-adorable Becki Newton and Emmy Rossum stopped by and tried on scarves and hats. The City's Roxy Olin also made a cameo and left with a bag full of goodies.

I normally commend Emmy Rossum's red carpet choices; she always manages to be feminine and unique. She took a slight risk wearing this sliced, sheer Ferragamo dress at GQ's Gentlemen's Ball in NYC last night. I'm all about mesh inserts right now, but something is off — I think a higher hemline would have balanced the turtleneck and long sleeves.

Blam! Charlize Theron doesn't need much to shine, but her crisp cobalt Dior frock at the Burning Plain premiere sure turned up her ferosh factor. However, she wasn't the only celeb deserving of an honorable mention.

Emmy Rossum showed off her sweet side wearing a pleated jewel-collared cream dress by Temperley London at the US Open party in NYC. Check out how the embellished neckline adds a decadent touch while her rope belt injects funk factor. For adornments, the actress donned sassy gold Jimmy Choo sandals, stacked bangles, and a shimmery box clutch.

Celebs were feeling black and/or white this week. Emmy Rossum showed us her hardcore side with a black and white Phi dress; Eva Mendes took in Italy in crisp white; and Emmanuelle Chriqui revealed her sexy side in a sheer LBD. I know you saw them, but how well were you paying attention to the details?

What's rad? Ruching, that's what. It's an ancient sewing technique, and it's flattering powers are undeniable.

Where have all the bows gone? For a while, it was all studs and leather, so it's nice to see the sweet thang is still around. What better way to evoke femininity than with bow belts?

Fun, fun, and fun. Nothing says Casino glamour like the blonde chubby. This is something I think Sharon Stone's turbulent character wore several of throughout the Scorsese film, and, she looked fabulous.
