Update! More Dish on Whitney Port's Eve & A Collection

Just as the first ad for Heidi Montag's collection surfaces, more details on Whitney's Eve & A line appear - coincidence?

Not that it matters, I'll take Whitney's collection over Heidi's any day. Due this Fall, she'll show us 20 pieces including a $195 hooded wool jacket that transforms into six different shapes, a $50 slip with corset detailing and a ruffled hem, and a $100 wool skirt with an adjustable hem.

Whitney came up with the label's name by combining her middle name with the first letter of her co-creative director's name. Her chosen color palette is heavy on the black and grey, with punches of purple and her favorite color pink tossed in for good measure. This flowered look to the left has my attention so far . . .

Whitney Port is becoming the third The Hills star to launch a clothing line, following after The Lauren Conrad Collection and Heidi Montag's Heidiwood.

Whitney's focus is on her new contemporary line Eve & A, which will launch with 17 pieces of party-worthy dresses, tops, and jackets in the Fall. She is designing the clothing with the help of co-creative director Adrienne Baravetto, and is backed by her father Jeff Port, who owns an apparel company. I think this collection promises to be the most successful out of the three.

As the lights flashed, Gabrielle smiled pretty in a black and white abstract-printed dress; Eve posed in a silky brown sequin-embellished frock; Tracie kept it slick in a gray jersey dress and draped leather jacket; and Nia Long shimmered away in a low-cut sequin top and silk shorts. Fab Flash: Fourth Time's a Charm For Eve's Fetish

Rapper-actress Eve is hopeful the fourth time will be the charm with her fashion line, Fetish. After a rocky start in 2003, with production problems and changing business partners, Eve Jeffers hired seasoned design director Arnold Williams to give Fetish a boost.

“Arnold is so good. His attention to detail is amazing, he is teaching me so much, and he brings this fresh energy to Fetish,” said Eve.

Once, we brought you The City star Whitney Port's Whitney Eve Spring creations. Now, are you ready to see her Fall designs? Naturally, this bunch is less colorful, more severe, with pieces including LBDs, long blazers, satin jackets, and mini skirts. You'll find no sweat pants here. There are bouts of fuchsia and some prints like stripes. Being that Whitney is a girlie girl at heart, bows, sweetheart necklines, and lace are also in the mix. Compared to Spring, this Whitney Eve girl is more vampy, serious, and loves to dress up. Are you that girl?

Sneak Peek! First Pieces in Whitney Port's Clothing Line

Whitney Port fans who have anxiously been waiting for the release of the Whitney Eve clothing line can finally dress like The Hills star. The first few pieces of the collection have been released and are currently on sale at Kitson. Sequin-lovers can exude disco chic in the Whitney Eve Black Sequin Ozark Dress ($495, left), while those who seek romance in their wardrobe can invest in the Whitney Eve Grey Encino Ruffle Collar Dress ($345, right).

I know, the prices are steep, but if you've got cash to burn, it's a good place to burn it. It looks like Whitney's gal pal Lauren Conrad is already a fan in a red pleated skirt from the collection. First her own reality show and now a clothing line . . . can Whitney's life get any better?

Sneak Peek! Whitney Eve Spring '09 Collection

We showed you the first pieces in Whitney Port's clothing line a few months ago - are you ready for the whole shebang? Unlike her friend Lauren Conrad's line, which is sexy sophisticated, Whitney Eve can be described as soft and super girlie. You'll find a few basic pieces, but it's mostly made up of playful frocks, skirts, and tanks that are daytime friendly. Nighttime dresses are also in the mix. I can see from some items that the reality star looked in her own closet for inspiration. For example, can't you just see her getting a pedicure in the pink and purple skinny sweats? Like Lauren's collection, prices are steep - $345 for a dress - but it's the name you're paying for. What do you think? How does it compare to Lauren's line?

Flower Powered Eve: Love It or Hate It?

Talk about flower power! Eve attended Ungaro's Fall '08 runway show at Paris Fashion Week looking bold and beautiful. In most instances, her Ungaro oversized rosette jacket would be considered too over-the-top, but in Paris, it's pure perfection. She smartly balanced the proportions by twining her voluminous top with lean black pants. The metallic sandals also work well. I admire women like Eve who pull out all the stops for fashion . . . Are you feeling this, too?

How Would YOU Wear It? Eve

Eve showed up to the MTV Studios for her appearance on TRL looking like this? The only way I can justify this mess of an outfit is by believing that her stylist was deathly ill that day. There is just too much going on here: hot pink and black leggings, way-too-strappy shoes and Mr. T-like chunky necklaces. I do adore her LBD because it's modern, classy and so feminine.

I would have first ditched the leggings and gone bare-legged. Then I would have swapped the chunky necklaces for something less gaudy. And those shoes? They would have been replaced with less-strappy and more-classy sky high Mary Janes.
