Exposed zippers are one of the best fashion innovations because they add a casually cool flair to any item. This Matt Bernson Swain Sandal ($198) was a stand out when I was scouring the best shoes for Spring. And if they had a five-inch platform, I think Ashley Olsen would buy them, too.

The exposed-zipper craze is still going strong, as exemplified by chicandcool. Her dress reminds me of the Phillip Lim recycled zipper dress Kate Bosworth wore. Her red clutch and patent pumps up the sassy factor.

Did you know Geren Ford started off as a lingerie line? Interesting. However, designer Geren Lockhart quickly moved over to sportswear when people started wearing her innerwear as outerwear.

We have so much to look forward to this Spring. With its Spring/Summer '08 collection, H&M has given us yet another reason to anticipate the warmer season.
The chain retailer's racks will be overflowing with bold-colored outerwear, fitted dresses, sportswear themes, exposed zippers, ruffles, '70s tunics, wide-leg jeans, and knit dresses.

Here is one of my all time favorites, inspiring me yet again to be a creative force. Marni is the designer for the thoroughly modern Milanese.
Though elements were a bit all over the place, to me that is what makes Marni beautiful.
