This time around New York Fashion Week did not wow me. Some new trends emerged (high waist, plaid, slim silhouette), but too many lingered (metallics, 80s, somber colors). Alas, it's always an exciting whirlwind of fashion.

Paris Fashion Week, Fall 2007: Balenciaga
What do tweeds, tie dye and track pants have in common? Nicolas Ghesquière's Fall 2007 Balenciaga collection. At first glance I thought this was a doomed hodge podge of ideas but after viewing the whole presentation I was elated by the intriguing mixmastering.

NY Fashion Week Wrap-Up: 5 Hot Spring Trends
If there's one thing we learned from our coverage of New York Fashion Week, it's that the fall trends are not easily forgotten. Many of the looks that will get you through the winter are surfacing in different forms for Spring 2007—including layers, leggings, bows, and big volume. There was also a parade of new ideas that have me looking forward to warm weather.
