With the Spring 2010 (whoa, 2010 - doesn't that sound so futuristic?) shows in the very near future, it's time to take final glimpses at Fall. What Fab trends will you be delving into? Which hot shoes tickled your fancy? Which heavenly handbags made you pant? During my runway research I accumulated some more favorite looks, stand-out pieces, awe-inspiring jewels, and simply cool honorable mentions. No Fall glimpse would be complete without a preview of some of the most captivating shoes to trot down the runways. The boot of the season is no doubt the over-the-knee, while wicked platforms and cutesie pumps rule, too. Heels got a lot of play - curved, pin straight, studded, wooden. And textures were wild: brocade, woven leather, super stretch, rich suede, ruffled. It's time to experiment. Stare again at these John Galliano pom pom lace-ups? Well, I nevah!

I know what you're going to say: houndstooth isn't a trend, it's a classic. So true. But what happens when a classic is Preen-ified? You get this wicked little dress. Or when McQueen takes it for a dark spin? Houndstooth like you've never seen it before. We already had a reader rework this classic. Preen, McQueen, Sugar stylists - now it's your turn. My approach would be edgy, an effort to rock houndstooth's world even further.

"I like your sleeves, they're real big." Little did Napoleon Dynamite know, pouf pieces, like Deb's sleeves, would be in vogue a few years later. We've been experiencing shoulder love for a couple seasons now and we agree shoulder pads are debatable. But for Fall, designers flounced and fluffed fabrics on all sorts of terrain. Front and center on a frock, cascading down a train, at the hip(s), along a hemline, and yes, on shoulders. If the popular shoulder pouf piece is too Dynasty for you, take a cue from the poufiest of the season, Louis Vuitton, and place one, or two, at your hips - dare to go there.

I don't want to spoil your appetite . . . feast.

Fall is nearing and my wallet is taking a momentary nap. Are you ready to review my favorite Fall trends? These are the clothes I am most excited for. Everyone's talking about the '80s power dressing revival - been there, done that. Let's dig a little deeper, shall we? Starting with my favorite neutral: gray day. Gray has a natural way of appearing modern, sporty, and versatile. Take this Versace gown; it is all of the above, with a strict serving of sex appeal. Gray days are meant for a mellow life, and yet they still deliver a strong statement. Happy gray day.

As we embark on another fashion season - Spring '09 here we come! - I have to make sure you've all seen what I've seen. There's always so much to see. Whether handbags, shoes, or everything in between are your weaknesses, get ready to take a shine to jewelry and intricate detailing. One could argue Fall's clothes are more austere, as to serve as a backdrop for conversational bling. Raid your grandma's jewelry box and your local vintage stores, now. What really made my eyeballs pop out of my head? Pucci's Kryptonite clutch. Crazy, huh? Gotta love it.

Fab's Favorite Shoes of Fall

If I showed you my favorite bags of Fall you know shoes are soon on their way. They are my Achilles’ heel, after all. While flats never get much love on the runways, higher-than-high heels make for terrific theatrics. Case in point: Rodarte's Louboutin studded platforms - killer, right? These may have been one of the most shocking shoe stories of the season, but there's more where that came from. And don't forget, I already highlighted some destined-to-rule-the-red-carpet shoes. I just couldn't help myself to more . . .
