Fab Flash: Bravo Replaces Project Runway With New Shows

Running on its last season with Project Runway, Bravo has made plans to fill in their huge prime-time slot.

The network is currently working on a new fashion series dubbed Fashion House. The show will feature designers living and working together as they strive to create and sell their collections to commercial buyers. The winning team will have the opportunity to have its line produced for mass-market sale. Unlike Project Runway, where outside-the-box designs were one of the most important factors in winning, Fashion House focuses more on the business aspect in fashion and mass-market appeal.

The network is also working with Sarah Jessica Parker as the executive producer on a new show named American Artist. The competition will bring together contemporary artists from all mediums, including sculpture, painting, photography, and industrial design, to compete for a gallery show, cash prize, and sponsored national tour. Premiere dates have not been announced for either show, but we'll keep you posted.

In honor of its latest book, titled Prada, the Italian fashion house had a launch party at its Rodeo Drive boutique. Naturally, only the chicest celebs showed up wearing their favorite Prada getups. The two most daring guests were Zoe Saldana and Chloë Sevigny, who came showing off their bras. Zoe opted for a pinky nude bra underneath a sheer teal blouse and a silk maroon skirt, while Chloë wore a slate one under a heather gray vest and embellished Miu Miu skirt. I applaud both ladies for their fashion guts, but who wore her Prada bra better?

Nicole Richie Take Her House of Harlow Jewels to bebe

Richie is quickly becoming one of the most busy celebrity designers. She has partnered up with Bebe on a new line of jewelry sold exclusively under her House of Harlow by Nicole Richie brand. They also conjured up a one-of-a-kind keepsake bracelet that will be sold through December with 25 percent of sales donated to the Richie-Madden
Children’s Foundation. The jewelry line, including the keepsake bracelet, will be available on bebe.com and in stores starting mid-November It's a win-win, and you know the baubles will be cute.

Emanuel Ungaro Calls Lindsay's Collab a Disaster

You weren't the only one hating Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Arch's heart pasties: Emanuel Ungaro despised them, too. The designer, who parted ways with his namesake label back in 2005, has kept mum about the collaboration - until now. In a recent press conference, Ungaro stated, "Lindsay Lohan's collaboration was a disaster. I am furious but I can't do anything about it."

Ungaro continues, stating that the Paris fashion house "is in the process of losing its soul. That happens to a lot of designers. We were the creators and patrons, responsible for the creation and destiny of our houses. But when we gave up our houses, we gave up our souls," said the designer. Sad.

Prada is jumping on the designer-book bandwagon. The Italian house has unveiled a 706-page book, titled Prada, that highlights the house's 30 years of fashion, art, and more. "For Prada, fashion, luxury and style go beyond producing an infinity of clothes and shoes, so the book wants to illustrate the various aspects through which Prada expresses itself," said Patrizio Bertelli, chief executive officer of Prada Group. The tome, which retails for about $150, will hit Prada stores, select bookstores, and Prada.com.

You'll also find interviews with designers like Maria Pinto, Isabel Toledo, and Jason Wu, who have all dressed Michelle. The author is Mary Tomer, the same person who started the Mrs. O blog, which reports about Michelle's daily outfits.

Nicole Richie Designs New Contemporary Line!

Nicole Richie is a new mom again, but that's not stopping her from expanding her fashion empire. Along with House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod, she is designing a women's contemporary line called Winter Kate (Harlow's middle names). The 37-piece collection, which was inspired by peacocks and other birds, includes tops, vests, bed jackets, and dresses - mini, long slip-style, and kimono-sleeve maxis.

"Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate," she said. Prices start at $35 and go up to $598 for leather pieces. Look out for the line in February at stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, and Kitson.

Great Expectations at Paris Fashion Week

The most exciting week of fashion is upon us. Don't get me wrong - New York Fashion Week always inspires, but Paris just seems . . . magical. WWD offered a behind-the-scenes look at some of the fashion houses last-minute musings. I can already tell Isabel Marant will make us swoon all over again with hot-pink tunics and fringed and studded boots. Everyone's talking about Peter Copping's first collection for Nina Ricci (showing tonight). And the brilliant Viktor & Rolf are gonna go all Texas Chainsaw Massacre on a too-perfect gown. Can't wait? Neither can I!
