Whether they admit it or not, everyone loves sneaking a peek at something they're not supposed to see.

Fashion historian Laird Borrelli's new book Fashion Illustration by Fashion Designers ($27) facilitates just that, by giving us a look at designer's sketches that aren't meant for public consumption.

The newly released book features 250 original sketches from 50 of the world's top designers, including Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, Phillip Lim, Rodarte, Christopher Kane, and Giambattista Valli. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to sink my teeth into this one.

Here is an oldie but goodie. I got this Style Dictionary illustrated by Ruben Toledo, $23, for Christmas years ago. If you have been enjoying our Style Glossary this is up your fashion education alley.

The illustrator, Ruben Toledo, is one of my favorite fashion illustrators. You may recognize his unique style from the Nordstrom ads and their clever whimsical illustrations. He is married to the designer Isabel Toledo who is the new designer at Anne Klein. Page-by-page Toledo illustrates fashion terms through colorful imagery; I received it as a gift and it is indeed a great gift to give!

Models Coco Rocha (left), Hilary Rhoda, Jessica Stam, Freja Beja Erichsen, and Lily Cole all show up in the recent issue of Nylon Magazine, but not in the way that you would expect. Artist in residence Coco has drawn gorgeous and lifelike illustrations of the models on the catwalk and in editorials. They're definitely worth a look, and in fact, they're worth printing and posting on your walls. No doubt CasaSugar would agree!

Fab Read: Prada

Prada is jumping on the designer-book bandwagon. The Italian house has unveiled a 706-page book, titled Prada, that highlights the house's 30 years of fashion, art, and more. "For Prada, fashion, luxury and style go beyond producing an infinity of clothes and shoes, so the book wants to illustrate the various aspects through which Prada expresses itself," said Patrizio Bertelli, chief executive officer of Prada Group. The tome, which retails for about $150, will hit Prada stores, select bookstores, and Prada.com.

On Our Radar: Style.com Auctions Fashion Illustrations

You read about the book, Fashion Illustrations by Fashion Designers, now get the actual sketches. Style.com is holding a three-week auction whose proceeds will be donated to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

This week's auction includes sketches by Phillip Lim, Rodarte, and Christian Lacroix. Next week, April 4 through 11, will feature Doo.Ri, Peter Som, and Sonia Rykiel. The final week of the auction, April 11 through 18, will end with Badgley Mischka, Betsey Johnson, Giambattista Valli, and Isaac Mizrahi. Bid away!

Who's Hotter: Will Ferrell or Heidi Klum?

Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue hits newsstands today, and inside you'll find more than just scantily-clad swimsuit models: There's a hilarious spread with Will Ferrell and a swimsuit-clad Heidi Klum, of course. Will is rocking the '70s afro in character from his new movie, Semi-Pro, and Heidi . . . well, she looks like Heidi. The two get cheeky together, with Will biting on Heidi's toes, and the two playing a little one-on-one basketball. However, I think the real burning question is: Who steals the show?
