Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the 2008 ambassador for the Key to the Cure campaign with Saks Fifth Avenue. Paltrow will be the sixth Oscar-winning actress to become the ambassador to the program, which has raised over $28 million for cancer institutions.
The actress, who lost her father from the disease in 2002, stated, “If there is anything I can do to help raise money, especially with a charity like this, I will.

Fashion is targeting breast cancer in a whole new way this time: tie dye. Sass & Bide has lent its exclusive tie dye tank dress ($170), to Net-A-Porter.com as part of the retailer's third installment of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Breast cancer is a topic that hits close to home for Sass & Bide co-founder Heidi Middleton, who was diagnosed with it in February 2007.

October is Breast Cancer Month so what better way to kick off the first of the month than with a site that combines fashion and philanthropy. Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, founded in 1994, is dedicated to finding stylish goods whose proceeds aid breast cancer. This organization has become fashion's most successful response to the sickness yet and includes countries like United States, United Kingdom, Australia and many more.

Since 1994, when the initiative was founded, the Council of Fashion Designers of America's charitable interests have been with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC). To raise awareness and money for its cause, the CFDA has partnered with Net-a-Porter to begin selling limited-edition FTBC items created by designers like Ralph Lauren, Rachel Roy, Oscar de la Renta, and Diane von Furstenberg.
Though the items will be sold throughout the year, the first available is a Ralph Lauren FTBC polo shirt, $75, exclusive to Net-a-Porter.

You may recognize Australian model Cheyenne Tozzi from Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Australia. The Tozzi family (mother and former model Yvonne, and daughters Tahyna and Cheyenne), used their good genes to become the faces for the campaign.
Cheyenne is the youngest Tozzi at 19 years old.
