Nasty Gal Crown of Feathers: Love It or Hate It?

I'm a big believer in the power of accessories, but when I came across this Nasty Gal's Crown of Feathers ($18), I was hesitant. My instinct tells me this whimsical headband is likely to overpower any ensemble, regardless of my childhood fantasy to be a princess. So, while this is certainly one way to experiment with feathers, it just isn't for me. I'm still on the hunt for a more wearable way to get the look. What about you?

Haute Hippie Elongated Feather Vest: Love It or Hate It?

I'm a huge advocate of vests, but I'm afraid this Haute Hippie Elongated Feather Vest ($695) would ruin my outfit instead of enhancing it. Am I being way harsh? It almost resembles a feather boa, but thicker. I must say though, the dusty pink color is just lovely. I think it would have been much more wearable if it was cropped. What do you think?

Diesel Black Gold Tiume Feathered Shrug: Love It or Hate It?

While I was doing research for cool shrugs, I came across this Diesel Black Gold Tiume Feathered Shrug ($450). I know, whoa, right? It's a cool concept, but I can only really see myself rocking it at a super fashiony function. Otherwise, I might be mistaken for an escaped bird. Would you consider wearing this, or is it too much?

Celebrity Style: Sarah Jessica Parker

You know how I always talk about having fun with fashion? And on the same token, it's better to be overdressed than under? SJP knows what I'm talking about. She dressed to the nines for the School of American Ballet's Winter Ball at Lincoln Center in NYC last night. Instead of opting for your typical ball-gown garb, she sauced it up in a L'Wren Scott green and black python print dress, lace-up Christian Louboutin for L'Wren Scott pumps, and party accessories like a feather stole, lace gloves, and glitzy bracelets. It may be too much for the average bear, so here's my interpretation - just as fun, just as SJP.

Chris Benz Ostrich Feather Collar: Love It or Hate It?

When I think of ostrich feathers, I think major glamour. When I look at this Chris Benz Ostrich Feather Collar ($275) I see glamour, in the most over-the-top way. I personally wouldn't wear it, but it could work for someone who seeks the Old Hollywood touch. For me, the grenadine color isn't the most flattering and I don't like that the feathers are so close to the face. What's your opinion?

The latest designer to jump on the feathery friends trend is Chris Benz with this Muticolored Pencil Skirt ($795). I usually fancy fringe but it looks like Chris had too much on his mind with this one. Between the diamond jacquard print and fuzzy texture; I can't help but to feel dizzy. What do you think?

Check out how Kate rocked an extra voluminous bronze Burberry frock, while Nicole Kidman radiated in a white shaggy mini by L'Wren Scott at the Australia premiere. Fab Finding Follow-Up: Shakespeare in the Park

All this Halloween talk has me in the mood for some make-believe fun. Since Halloween is still a couple weeks away, my friends and I watched Shakespeare in the park last weekend. The weather was perfect for an evening full of tales and folklore. To get in the spirit, I asked you to help me put together a Shakespeare-inspired ensemble without looking too literal.

Come Fab Finding: Shakespeare in the Park

This Vintage Feather Headband Hat ($35) may look a wee strange, but strange is the name of the fashion game lately. Feathers are still going strong - just ask Rihanna - but it's such a novel, expensive adornment. Wearing this feather topper will certainly set you apart from the crowd. The jet black feathers are also subtle enough you won't look like you're getting attacked by a bird, although Tippi Hedren made it look so stylish.
