Ever since that genius sports jacket Kit made on episode three of Project Runway flannel has been on my mind. Then, I realized I don't own anything flannel. Oh wait! I have a pair of turquoise pajama pants with martinis on them. But seriously, this look from Carolina Herrera's Fall runway takes flannel to a high level of opulence. Actually, I'm feeling quite embarrassed about divulging my cheesy pajama pants to you right about now. Goodbye . . .

Urban Outfitters is the gift that keeps on giving. First it brought us its snazzy early Fall look book and now is delivering even fresher merchandise for Fall '09. Shall we dive in? This bunch is filled with girlie florals, cropped jackets, studded booties, understated bags, flannel, ripped jeans, and so much more. One of my favorite looks is this print dress with a vest and black hat. It's part folk, part boho, part rock 'n' roll. This colorblock backpack is pretty rad, too.

I have dedicated not one but two FABTVs to The Breakfast Club. So yeah, it's a fave. It's no Sixteen Candles or Weird Science, but it's up there in Fab's John Hughes top three. I think my favorite character's style in this one is actually not Molly - it's bad boy Bender. With his flannel-over-thermal and bandana-around-boot, he had style for miles. Fab's 10 Fall Essentials: Aristocratic Plaid

Thanks to many of the Fall collections, what was once the symbol for grunge is now the sign of aristocracy. That doesn't mean you have to throw out your flannel shirt, but for Fall, invest in some prim and proper plaid. This Banana Republic Silk Tie-Neck Plaid Blouse ($79) is the perfect place to start.

Of course, I wouldn't want you to look too prissy; I recommend pairing your pretty plaid with black stovepipe jeans and funky booties. If you don't want to buy a new piece, try tucking your grungy plaid shirt into a high-waisted pencil skirt. How does that sound?

As if I'm not already ecstatic to see the Sex and the City movie, now I have one more reason to jump for joy. Vogue editor at large Andre Leon Talley will make a cameo as himself while he helps Carrie Bradshaw at a bridal-gown photo shoot for Vogue.

"This is something I would do. I helped Melania Trump plan her wedding looks from beginning to end - it's part of what I do," he told the Associated Press.

Andre continued that the gowns they worked with also would fit nicely into the magazine, especially his favorite, a "more-than-over-the-top" Christian Dior Couture gown. "I loved Sarah Jessica in it. She's a confident pro about clothes anyway. She pulled it off brilliantly, but it's not something that many women could do."

I can't wait to see Andre clad in his custom-made, gray flannel Ralph Lauren suit and midnight blue crocodile oxford Manolo Blahniks. Sexy!
