Yowza! This look from Fab reader FashionablySocial has me totally inspired to take a walk on the sartorial wild side. She took a risk by tucking a low-cut floral button-up into a pair of high-waisted black harem pants, then suited up with a pair of knee-high leather boots and a red patent clutch. It's a bold look, but one that can definitely be pulled off - if you're on the shy side, just layer a slim tank underneath for extra coverage.

Summer Style: Flower Arranging Tips From Paul Lowe

I'm not the only one who thinks that one rule of Summer style should be keeping things simple. Interior and food stylist Paul Lowe agrees that simple presentations can make a huge visual impact when it comes to flowers. I asked him if he could some simple Summer styling techniques for flowers, and he happily agreed.

Here's one of Paul's flower tips: "When I work with flowers I always try to keep it simple. I don't like mixing too many types of flowers in a vase. I believe that one kind of flower in a vase makes a bigger statement then a mix of flowers. If you want to use a mix, put them in separate vases."

Paul also advises, "When you work with flowers you will always have some flower heads that fall of the stems. Don't throw them away. Fill eggcups with water and place the flower heads in them. A Bouquet of Summer Scarves

Someone loves her scarves. Enjoy this bouquet of scarves from OnSugar blog Thelacelasso.

I went out to get the mail this morning and was greeted by a welcome warm breeze. It reminded me of summer patios, camping, beaches, sweet wines and sweet flowers. I immediately went inside to make a cool peach smoothie and wrapped a floral scarf around my neck. I have more floral scarves than there are summer days but it means I can wear two or three different ones each day. I snapped off a picture of the one I'm wearing today and even found a few more I might like to add to my bouquet. A girl can't have too many flowers can she?

How do you like my side braid?? I managed to pull this one off the first time and considering it's the most satisfactory one I've had, I was too scared to unravel it and try again!

Love It or Hate It? Flora Pouf

Inspired: Big, Bold Florals

I love this informal painting from artist Cy Twombly, which was featured during the preview of the newly built Brandhorst Museum in Munich, Germany. Inspired by the big, messy floral pattern in the painting, I thought I'd see if I could find anything similarly inspiring in the home decor world.

One favorite that instantly came to mind was the Terai Folding Chair ($198) from Anthropologie. While I was skeptical of this chair when I saw it in the catalog, after checking it out in person, I have to say that I'm crushing a little on the design and textile patterns used in the Terai. It's also surprisingly sturdy.
