Full skirts are making a presence in fashionable circles, so I decided to go on a hunt to find you Fab ladies a skirt that you can wear through Fall. This Vintage 70's African Tribal Wrap, waist 25-37", caught my eye, not only because of its unique design, but also because it doubles as a dress. The rich colors are perfect for your autumnal wardrobe. As a skirt, I'd wear it with an olive or black turtleneck; as a dress, I'd do opaque tights and a cropped jacket. Trend Alert: Full Skirts

You don't need to be full of yourself to pull off a full skirt. Au contraire my fine females. For those who have been hynotized by the voluminous trend, here's a fun way to practice. Allow me to offer you some tips to work the the full skirt:

Make sure you seek a full skirt that is the right waist for your shape. To show off a narrow middle, pick one that sits high on the hips, above the navel. To hide a tummy, have it rest below the navel.
Strike a balance; with volume on bottom, go slim on top. Tuck in your blouse or opt for a slim-cut shirt or jacket.
This look is super-feminine so try to toughen it up with a chunky cuff or a fly belt,
as not to be too goodie goodie.

Two Super Chic and Easy Ways to Wear Neon

Neon hues have dominated the recent runways, but the joltingly bright shade can be a little intimidating to pull off in everyday life, especially considering how often we wear black! To make the trend more wearable in everyday life, we worked with our partners at Gap for an easy styling solution that incorporates just a touch of neon for a big impact. Our FabSugar TV host, Allison McNamara, has a basic rule for neon: pair it with solid, neutral tones and keep the silhouette clean. For a downtown edgy look, she layered a neon tee under a gray top and cream blazer, and paired it with slick leather pants. For a more feminine take that's great for the office, she substituted a full black skirt for the pants, and chose a pink v-neck to wear under the cream blazer. Her sophisticated, but insanely easy-to-wear looks prove that neon isn't an '80s leftover; rather, it's a fresh way to brighten up a neutral outfit. The line was chock full of her signature preppy-chic style in brilliant hues of emerald and amber, including button-ups, blazers, and trousers galore. Rachel Comey Fall 2012

Rachel Comey showed us her sophisticated side for Fall '12, streamlining her usual quirk factor with a modern, refreshing twist. "Normally for Fall we dive into print and pattern and color," said Comey. "This time, I pulled all of that out and cleared the air." With that in mind, the designer showcased laser-cut cotton dresses and wool felt tops, digital-print knee-length skirts, pretty prints, and shiny boxy leather tops. Color pops included an oversized bright orange coat and dress and even a heart-print dress doused in hot pink. Comey's shoes, a cult favorite amongst many, included quirky-cool black-and-white cap-toe loafers, flatforms, and chunky ankle boots. To finish, Comey closed out the show with an array of cocktail-appropriate black dresses, ranging from a simple, slinky halter-neck LBD to a shimmering full-skirted version. Steven Alan Fall 2012

Our New York Fashion Week kickoff began this morning with Steven Alan. For Fall, the designer showed another batch of covetable casual-cum-cool offerings pairing his signature modern classic style with a bold touch of Mexican and folk influence. Full red skirts were paired with riding jackets and fedora hats and structured striped wool vests with slightly flared pants, and there was even a cute vintage-inspired tweed jumpsuit styled with a button-up blouse and cardigan. For a soft touch, the designer also supplied sweet peplum-embellished floral and striped dresses, plaid shirt dresses, and, for a little shine, black and gold brocade dresses and trousers.
