Much to everyone's disappointment, John Galliano abruptly pulled out of attending the Savannah College of Art and Design's annual fashion show just hours from the event.
The touted designer was set to receive the prestigious André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Talley himself. Talley, editor at large for Vogue, commented that it took him two years to secure Galliano for the event due to his busy schedule stating, "I'm devastated that he's not here."

Move over Nicole Richie, there's a new hot pregnant mama in town. Here at the "Late Show With David Letterman," Halle Berry looks more gorgeous than ever in her Galliano bubble lace dress, slingback sandals and hoop earrings. This isn't her first pregnant look, but I think it's her best so far.

John Galliano is expanding his diffusion line. For Fall, there are over 100 styles — bags, small leather goods, belts, luggage, and trolleys. Prints (like the black and white gazette one on the left) and appliqués keep things interesting, as do materials like faux oilskin leathers and calfskin.

I don't know about you, but I can never get enough of John Galliano. Sure, he designs multiple rtw and couture collections, but he's proving he can do more by signing a five-year licensing deal for John Galliano eyewear. The destined-to-be-decadent creations will surface next Fall, and include women's and men's sunglasses and spectacles.

John Galliano started his Christian Dior Spring '10 show with a literal bang as gunshots and theatrical screaming laid out the framework for his film noir-inspired collection. Set against a gritty, warehouse scene, models with wavy tresses and red lips strutted down the runway in an array of sensual, lingerie-like silk gowns, camisoles, peek-a-boo lace dresses, silk shorts, and and beaded gowns. His ode to '40s Hollywood glamour continued with sharply tailored trench coats — a staple then, a staple today — tiered skirts, corsets, and I even spied a couple of ankle socks paired with sky-high sandals.

No Fall glimpse would be complete without a preview of some of the most captivating shoes to trot down the runways. The boot of the season is no doubt the over-the-knee, while wicked platforms and cutesie pumps rule, too. Heels got a lot of play — curved, pin straight, studded, wooden.

John Galliano created a '20s inspired Fall collection filled with Indian and Asian nuances for Christian Dior. After I got past the somewhat blinding backdrop, I was able to focus in on Galliano's gowns and two piece suits. He played it safe with streamlined, feminine cuts but made up for it with bold colors, textural fabrics, and most prominently — bold prints.

Glamorous, and a touch garish, Galliano leads Couture week with a provocative showing at the Dior headquarters. Innerwear played a major role in this film noir. Corsets, garters, hose, slips, camis, and brassieres all hung out exhibiting a high-class peekaboo show.
