Fab Flash: Vogue India Launches

The inaugural issue of Vogue India hit stands today, featuring Bollywood stars Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, local supermodels MoniKangana Dutta and Laxmi Menon, and Australian supermodel Gemma Ward all on the cover, shot by fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

This new edition of Vogue is expected to be more colorful and more vibrant than the western models, according to Alex Kuruvilla, managing director of Conde Nast India. He also expects it to draw attention to Indian designers, Indian photographers, and even Indian models. The Vogue India woman has the best of both the eastern and western worlds: she wears Jimmy Choo shoes along with her traditional Indian garb.

Gemma Ward is one lucky lady! She not only got to appear on the inaugural cover of Vogue China two years ago (below), but she just recently shot the cover of the debut issue of Vogue India, which is expected to appear in September. I love Gemma, but I think it is interesting that they chose her for the first covers of both the Chinese and Indian Vogues. What do you all think?

Kristin Davis brought her daughter, Gemma, to play at an LA park recently. Gemma had toys to amuse herself with during the afternoon out and even had an outfit change. Kristin welcomed Gemma last October after completing a domestic adoption. At the time Kristin said, "This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed."

There's even more excitement in store for Kristin with the Friday release of her new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Last week, Kristin joined her costars The Rock, Vanessa Hudgens, and Josh Hutcherson at the LA premiere of Journey 2. Kristin skipped out, though, on the recent junket in Hawaii. Josh, however, went to the islands and told us about the adventure movie and a special Hunger Games surprise.

10 People I'd Like to See More of in 2011

Seeing as how I'm making wish lists for the new year, I'd like to make one more small request: Dear Hollywood, please cast these actors! Though they may not be on the A-list just yet, in 2010 they turned in charming, memorable performances on TV and in film. Some have been slowly gaining notice on the Hollywood scene for years, while others are newer breakout stars - all I know is, I want to see more of 'em! Keep reading to find out who tops my list.

Eric Northman easily trumps Bill Compton in the sexy department in this season of True Blood, and even out of character, the tall Swedish actor is still a sight to behold. Yesterday, he took in an al fresco lunch with a friend at Gemma, an Italian brasserie next to the Bowery Hotel in New York. The restaurant's interiors hold a rustic charm, with a copper-covered bar, farm-style tables, and oversized, wooden chandeliers. The sidewalk seating, seen here, reflects the interior's focus on rustic comfort.

This style is perfect for breaking up the look of a more industrial-oriented décor scheme and is also a good choice for modern interiors in need of some warmth. Here's how to get the look for yourself.

Use a mix of chairs for your table arrangement, but keep the look collected with a cohesive design feature. This element could be found in the chairs' color or it could be their shape. The chairs at Alexander Skarsgard's table have the same curved back and rustic look.

For your tableware, keep the look simple, spare, and comfort oriented. I'd recommend white, unadorned tableware and thoughtful touches, like salt cellars and bottles of fresh water with lemon or cucumber slices.
