Last night, at the CMAs festivities, the songstress stole the spotlight with her magical voice, and more importantly, her stunning frocks. The country singer changed a whopping 10 times during the show. I like how she experimented with different styles via sequin minis, country belle gowns, tiered frocks, and even a sexy two-piece performance ensemble complete with sequin shorties. The stars were thrilled to be back in the spotlight tonight at the Oscars. A handful were so fired up, in fact, that they gave the red carpet some fierce competition in red hot gowns. Anne Hathaway drenched herself in rosettes via Marchesa, Helen Mirren opted for a deeper red in a Georges Chakra custom-made gown, pop sensation Miley Cyrus oozed sophistication in Valentino, newlywed Katherine Heigl did Old-Hollywood glam in Escada, Julie Christie went short and ruched, and Heidi Klum went va-va-voom in a bright John Galliano (you can even win her dress). The silhouettes were vastly different, but one thing's for sure: these ladies gave Chris de Burgh's lady in red a run for her money.

Primetime Emmy Awards: Marcia Cross

Marcia Cross is renowned for her beautiful fair skin and red hair...but I am thinking that a more brightly colored gown would have been a better complement than this Georges Chakra gown. Her striking turquoise earrings, however, are a great choice accompaniment. What do you think?
