Me and my banana seat cruiser are set for a nice long ride on the Boulevard this weekend. Wardrobe malfunctions are one of the imminent dangers of bike riding so I need your help in finding an equally fashionable and functional outfit. Ah, I can already imagine the soft, warm breeze blowing through my hair. . .

I'll start you off with this sporty Versace Small Darling Convertible Tote ($3,330) because the shoulder straps can be buckled at the base for backpack wear. That will definitely keep my hands where they're supposed to be - on the handles!

This Just In: Versace's Beloved Lake Como Villa to Be Sold

Rumor has it, according to Real Estalker, Gianni Versace's beloved Villa Fontanelle in Maltrasio, Lake Como, Italy, the scene of years of glamorous, celebrity-ridden parties, is finally being sold by the Versace clan. There was talk at one point by WWD that the villa would be purchased by a business partner of the fashion house, but The Times reports that filthy rich Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov is buying the property for $52.3 million. He has apparently bid nearly six million over the asking price, in order to secure it as he gets his finances in order. Hard knock life, huh? To hear more about the property and see interior photos,

The early 19th century villa was originally purchased in total shambles in 1977 by Versace and required serious renovations, including millions spent on creating interiors "consistent with the house's neoclassic architectural style." According to Real Estalker:

The house is also said to feature a massive and spectacular Russian crystal chandelier that once hung in a palace in St. Petersburg, truckloads of Empire era furniture, lots of urns sitting around and plaster medallions depicting Roman emperors stuck to the walls, bathrooms bathed in red marble, original paintings from the late 1700s, insanely intricate plaster detailing, and hundreds of neoclassical objects d'art.

It's sad to see the property change hands, but with George Clooney living nearby, I'm sure Lake Como has enough stars to maintain its glam rep.

Fab Flash: Gianni Versace Commemorated

Last night, Milan paid tribute to Gianni Versace on the 10th anniversary of his murder. Gianni was tragically killed outside his Miami house by serial killer Andrew Cunanan on July 15, 1997.

A two-part ballet called "Thank you, Gianni, with love," was performed at La Scala, and featured stage costumes designed by Gianni over the years, as well as costumes created specially for the tribute by his sister Donatella. Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer, as well as Jessica Alba, Karl Lagerfeld, and many of the Versace family all attended.

We miss you, Gianni!

Kate Moss Lounges in the Lavish Ritz Paris and Talks Being "Swept Up" by Johnny Depp

Kate Moss posed for photographer Tim Walker in a gorgeous spread shot at the Ritz Paris for Vogue's April issue. Kate lounged in multiple glamorous rooms inside the famed hotel, wearing haute couture looks by Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Balenciaga, and others. She recounted some of her favorite memories at the Ritz for the publication, including her time spent there with Johnny Depp and her choice drink at the establishment's Hemingway Bar. On staying at the Ritz with her ex-boyfriend: "When I was with Johnny Depp, he always stayed there. I had an apartment in Paris at the time, but he said, 'No, we're staying at the Ritz,' so he came by and swept me up to the Ritz - he didn't want to slum it in my apartment!"
On walking in Versace's show: "Gianni's shows were amazing - and sooo convenient. Walk downstairs, go to work: Love that!"
On what she orders at the bar: "I drink the French 76: vodka, sugar, lemon juice topped up with champagne; it's the best drink ever, but it only tastes like that in the Hemingway Bar. Colin [Field, Ritz Paris head bartender] made it for my wedding. It doesn't taste at all strong - and then, whoa, whoops-a-daisy!"

Versace Fall 2012

The Versace Fall 2012 collection was all about the Rooney Mara goth chick-meets-Joan of Arc goddess hero, right down to the bluntly cut bangs and barely-there eyebrows. But this no-nonsense kind of girl certainly knows how to dress up. The dark palette and edgy shapes were inspired by brother Gianni's final collection, "an era," Donatella said she finally had "the courage to go back to." The result? Strong dress silhouettes - some in tough leather, some in chain-mesh satin, for example - were highlighted by Byzantine cross embroidery, a slick metallic sheen, and corseted bodices that closely resembled metal armor. But not to fear, the signature Versace hourglass figure remained intact, thanks to artful peplum details and silver accents that strategically emphasized the waistline. To illustrate our point, just look to one jaw-dropping chain-linked silver disc gown for bombshell confirmation. We think this standout number proves a worthy candidate for rush delivery to the Oscars red carpet. To polish off the Fall '12 lineup with a saucy minx undertone, Donatella sent models out wearing fishnet mesh boots, fishnet gloves, and holding cross-embroidered clutches. Chalk it up to good genetics and great connections, but celeb offspring are landing some pretty sweet modeling gigs lately, at ages when most kids are entering their gawkiest stages.

Oasis’s Noel Gallagher's gorgeous daughter Anais Gallagher was just shot by Mario Testino, but now some real modeling royalty offspring has entered the arena: Cindy Crawford’s 10-year-old daughter Kaia (dad is Rande Gerber). She’s just been announced as the new face of Young Versace. Mom Cindy was a muse of Gianni’s, so it has to be a sweet moment for everyone involved that Kaia is taking up the Versace mantle now.

“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” Donatella Versace said in a release. “The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!”

Blake Joins Jessica, Chace, and More at Donatella's Versace For H&M Blow-Out

Donatella Versace gathered her famous friends and fans together last night at NYC's Pier 57 for the launch of her Versace For H&M collection. It was a huge event that featured a runway show of the colorful, studded designs in addition to a show from Prince and Nicki Minaj! Donatalla said on the black carpet that she was inspired to create the limited-edition line after seeing young people wearing vintage Versace, and that some of the patterns she used haven't been touched since her brother Gianni's death in 1997. Donatella's daughter Allegra Beck spoke with the press as well, saying she was hoping for a fun evening and that her favorite piece is the pink-studded frock.

Selma Blair was wearing Allegra's pick, and she stopped to chat about new motherhood. Her baby son, Arthur, was off at his hotel with a nanny named Polo, and she said motherhood is amazing - but that it's also hard, and people don't really dwell on that fact. Steven Dorff told us that he's had so many fun nights in Versace clothes, but he shouldn't really divulge what he got up to. Chace Crawford, meanwhile, revealed that his outfit was picked out by the kind people at Versace, and Chloe Moretz gushed for a moment about the joys of working with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton on Dark Shadows. Jessica Alba, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, and Abbie Cornish were among the other stylish ladies to check out the bash.
