No year is complete without a few outrageous fashion trends, and we asked you to weigh in on which one had you scratching your head the most. After counting the votes, it was pretty clear that overstuffed gorilla sleeves were the craziest runway trend of 2011 - we saw the look on the runways at Peter Som, Rag & Bone, and Giles, to name a few, making for a pretty unforgettable - and hard to pull off - fashion fad. We wonder what wacky wardrobe pieces 2012 will bring?

Freaky or Fabulous? The Gorilla Arm Trend For Fall 2011

Fur, both real and faux, returned for Fall, and one of the most interesting incarnations of the furry stuff was the debut of the gorilla arm. By that, we mean the seriously, thickly fur-covered sleeves of coats. Rag & Bone showed it in their futuristic Scottish ski bum, Giles did it under a black corset, and Peter Som took it to the trench. It's certainly a bold look, but one that could be hard to pull off. What do you think of this trend? Would you wear it?

While designers at New York Fashion Week continued with Fall’s minimalism trend for Spring, British designers went all out with embellishments, prints, and accessories! Burberry Prorsum showed edgy takes on the classic trench coat, neon clutches, and thick snakeskin belts. Christopher Kane filled his collection with bright ladylike separates, and perforated leather skirts while Giles played with polka dot prints!

Last night, Victoria Beckham was spotted wearing a structured LBD by Giles and boots by Brian Atwood at the DVF and Claridge’s party in London. In fact, it's the same Giles mini - but in a different color - as the one she sported at last year's Fashion's Night Out event in NYC. Both times, the celebrity designer paired it with sexy black thigh-high boots. One dress, two colors: which do you prefer?

Freaky or Fabulous? Giles's Spring Spiders

For his Spring '10 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, Giles Deacon delivered a colorful and quirky collection filled with prom-inspired dresses, metallic pants, and see-through gowns. However, it was the abundance of creepy, crawly spiders that induced my fear. Indeed, I suffer from slight arachnophobia (although I guess I don't mind daddy longlegs, they eat other bugs, right?). And so, I don't understand why anyone would want to have a furry, eight-legged creature hanging off her chest. Maybe there are some fashionphiles out there that share Giles's love for spiders, just not me. Freaky or fabulous?

Unicorns Spotted at Paris Fashion Week . . . Or Is That a Dino?!

My pal FabSugar told me about the maybe freaky, maybe fabulous spiders in the Giles show at Paris Fashion Week . . . and mentioned the plush purses carried by the models. At first glance, I thought it was a dinosaur of some sort but then I was thinking maybe it was a unicorn (or even a rhino) wearing a popped collar cape - it's open for interpretation and I'm thinking only Mr. Deacon knows for sure, but place your pets on the wild bags toted below.

Who loves Pre-Fall? I do, I do! This time, I'm showing you fabulous frocks from the likes of Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, Nicole Miller, Naeem Khan, Giles, Vera Wang, and Badgley Mischka. Freaky or Fabulous? Giles's Pac-Women

While my girls in London wrap up their own Fashion Week, Giles - someone I've always had my eye on - sent rather tame, graphic designs down his runway. But what wasn't tame was the Pac-Man-inspired massive head gear. So it's a bit distracting from the shift dresses and draped black gown, it's super fun. I enjoy the contrast of the tame clothes and ode to the '80s accessory. It takes me back to dentist visits where I played Pac-Man while my teeth soaked in fluoride. Maybe this pleasant memory is why I don't mind visiting my dentist and Giles's poking fun.
