Ryan Lochte Goes For the Gold: Get to Know the Lochtenator

Michael who? OK, we haven't forgotten Phelps yet, but there's a new kid in town who's dazzling us with his ripped body and gold medals. Ryan Lochte aka "The Lochtenator" is looking mighty fine on the Team USA cover of Vogue in his swimwear, alongside soccer's Hope Solo and tennis star Serena Williams.

"New" may be a misnomer, as the 27-year-old American swimmer is already a six-time Olympic medalist and has carried both World Swimmer of the Year and American Swimmer of the Year titles. Ryan is known to sport a diamond-encrusted grill, and besides a thing for sparkly teeth some other fun facts about the hottie include that his mother is Cuban, he majored in sports management in college, and he has a tattoo of the Olympic rings on the inside of his right bicep. The annual Met Gala in NYC on Monday night didn't disappoint, with famous faces from the big and small screens, the music industry, and the fashion world all stepping out in their finest. Carey Mulligan, one of the evening's hosts, showed up in a metallic Prada frock in honor of the exhibit, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. Diane Kruger also chose a gown by Prada, as did Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth was one of many ladies who went short for the fashionable soiree, along with Kristen Stewart in Balenciaga and Emma Stone in a leg-baring red Lanvin.

Color was also a trend, with January Jones choosing a strapless yellow Versace and Emily Blunt in coral Calvin Klein. Emily brought her husband John Krasinski to the bash, but she wasn't the only one with her man by her side. Julianne Hough posed in Carolina Herrera with Ryan Seacrest close by, and Gisele Bundchen showed PDA with Tom Brady on her way into the event. Claire Danes, who stunned in a sexy white J. Mendel, cozied up to her husband Hugh Dancy for the affair, and Jessica Biel wore ankle-length Prada on the arm of fiancé Justin Timberlake, with her huge engagement ring on display.

Beyoncé Knowles made a grand entrance in a lace Givenchy with a flowing train of indigo feathers, while Diane Kruger followed suit in a bright purple Prada. Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev went sexy in a black and gold Donna Karan, Rihanna showed skin in Tom Ford, and Cameron Diaz went with a backless Stella McCartney.
