I must commend her for not going the usual route of black shoes and instead wearing metallic booties. As for her dramatic haircut, it has taken her from drab to Fab!

Kelly Clarkson attended the Motorola Party last night looking girlie chic in a Juicy Couture ruffled dress and heart earrings. I enjoy seeing Kelly in feminine frocks because it's such a difference from her more tough on-stage characters. The low peep-toe Loubs were also a great choice, as I can't see Kelly rockin' the usual celeb favored 5-inch stilettos. Way to keep it real, Kelly.

Prada Fringe Gunmetal Thong Sandal: Love It or Hate It?

I adore the gunmetal color of these Prada Fringe Gunmetal Thong Sandals, $475, but that's just about all I like about it. The fringe is utterly distracting and the fact that it's on a thong sandal makes the situation worse! Plus, thongs with heels are uncomfortable to walk in. What's your take?

Brace yourselves for more metallic handbags in patent leather, exotic skins and in shades like pewter, bronze and gunmetal. But don't expect to see big, bulky bags.
