If hair ties were to ever spawn a cult these would be them.

Here's the story morning glory: DearSugar appears in the Sugar office wearing these really cool colored tie-dye hair ties that double as bracelets. It just so happens she got them on a recent trip to La La Land at a store she doesn't remember the name of. But we know it's in the Malibu Beach mall in a beauty shop. Yours truly goes to LA in search of the hair bands and fails in her attempt. PartySugar, who is also secretly coveting the hair bands, busts out her online research skills and finds them. Everyone is hair-tie happy, the end.

And so, I'm sharing the famed Planet Blue Tie-Dye Hair Ties ($30 for about 25) with you. They're a unique, cheap gift for your girlfriends, but warning: You'll want to keep lots for yourself so consider buying two jugs. Party bought three, while I'm still treasuring my one jug. Join us.

On Our Radar: Mischa Barton Creates Hair Accessories

Banking on her hippie aesthetic, Mischa Barton has teamed up with designer Stacey Lapidus to create a hair accessories collection.

“Accessories are fun and they’re easy to wear. I’ve always loved headbands and have worn Stacey’s headbands for a while,” said Barton, shown left wearing one of Stacey's creations.

The Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus line will include groovy headbands made out of feathers, silk, crystals, and pearls. The full collection was shown in NY during Fashion Week festivities. The headbands range from $40 to $200 and will be sold at boutiques and specialty stores.

Designer Spotlight: Jennifer Behr

I was searching around for some cool headbands, scarves and wraps and Jennifer Behr's goodies kept catching my eye. Her trendy headgear is making statements everywhere this season - and from what I understand she's got more to come for Spring. Jennifer worked at Frederic Fekkai for five years as the lead hair accessory designer.

When she left, she decided to branch out and create her own unique line. I just love her stuff and am so happy to have discovered it. She designs comfortable headbands that are a great helper to get you out of bad hair day jams. Just be warned: these head pieces are a lil bit pricey. Here are three of my favorite hair accessories from her collection.

This Wide Leather Headband, $175, is a 3 1/2 inch wide statement piece made from imported Italian leather (hence the price tag). The two bands fasten together and create a knotted look. The headband has an elastic in the back so that you get the best fit possible. Available in black or chocolate brown.

What I really like about this Metallic Braid Head wrap, $55, is it takes care of two trends that I fancy: it's metallic and braided! The color is kind of a vintagey gold/silver and the back of the wrap is finished off with comfy leather and elastic for a snug and painless fit. The headband measures 1/2 inch wide.

This Jersey Head wrap, $46, is Jennifer's best seller because it is wide and comfortable. It is made from silk jersey and you can style it so that it spans across your head or you can fold it over to make it as skinny as you wish. It is available in six colors.

Chanel's Barn Bonanza!

Karl does country. It's impossible to guess Karl's next move. And who would have thought it would be to the barn? His Spring collection, replete with stars and spectacles, lightened the mood. The clothes were frilly, feminine, and colorful, adorned with thematic accessories like Chanel clogs, flowers in the hair, and drippy jewels. Prince was there - random - and so were Chanel devotees Rihanna, Claudia Schiffer, Dasha Zhukova, and Clemence Poesy. With Karl playing a part, and Lily Allen serenading, it looked like a thrilling fashion hoedown.

Celeb Style: Jordana Brewster

Jordana Brewster stole the show last night at the ALMA Awards in LA in a bright citron maxi dress by Reem Acra. The almost neon hue looks amazing against her skin tone, and I adore her funky accessories. The stacked bangles and statement ring bring an exotic element to her ensemble, while a box clutch brings in sleekness. On another note, I'm loving the wavy hair.

The Look For Less: Juicy Couture Flower Headband

In the midst of putting together my outfit for a friend's wedding next month, I hit a wall with my accessories. Yes, I have tons but I couldn't find a piece that could complement my abstract print dress. I then experienced an "a-ha" moment! Why not decorate my head instead of the per usual necklace or bangle? This Juicy Couture Flower Headband, ($48) would look super-cute with my 'fit but there's no way I'm paying that much for a hair accessory.

I'm personally not much of headband girl, but I'll make an exception when it comes to Jennifer Behr's creative confections. For Spring, the accessory designer is offering up an array of bejeweled and neon-spiked headbands along with a new collection of belts. I adore the detailed intricacies and Parisian vibe. This punchy pink double star ribbon headband is a seamless mix of modern meets retro. Love it all.

Girls on Film: Valerija Erokhina, Vogue Australia, May '09

I never considered pink hair until I saw Valerija Erokhina in Vogue Australia's May '09 issue. OK, I'll never really dye my hair pink - unless it's Halloween - but I adore Valerija's slightly tinted 'do. The spread, dubbed "Flora Plan," features the Russian model wearing a sweet mix of '40s-inspired ladylike separates and modern elements. The floral adornments add a soft touch to the structured tweed skirts and silk dresses, while bold accessories inject a contemporary feel. In another era I would wear this laser-cut shift dress to tea with friends. Want to see more of pretty-in-pink Valerija? Come on in . . .
