Fab Flash: Luxury Jeweler Sues Heidi Klum

Van Cleef and Arpels is suing supermodel Heidi Klum's company, claiming that her Heidi Klum Jewelry Collection copied their vintage Alhambra clover design. The suit, filed in Manhattan on December 21, seeks more than $25,000 in damages for attempting to benefit from Van Cleef's reputation.

Heidi has called the clover design under question her favorite symbol of good fortune: "I hope the pieces are true good-luck charms for the women who wear them."

In case all the clover jewelry Heidi Klum has been wearing lately didn't give it away, the supermodel has a year-old bling collection called Heidi Klum Collection. The clover necklace she wore to the jewelry presentation in Berlin in September is beautiful and sort of resembles the most expensive clovers of all: Van Cleef & Arpels designs. It would be nice to mimic Heidi, only we don't have her salary.

Heidi Klum is looking as beautiful as ever on The Early Show this week and don't you love her earrings?

Her earrings are from her jewelry line, The Heidi Klum Collection, made by Mouawad. According to the Mouawad website:

The collection was inspired by one of Heidi's visits to Italy during which she was intrigued by a clover-patterned marble inlay at the Duomo in Milan. Heidi envisioned the clover as an adornment piece and expressed her desire to incorporate the symbol into the design of a jewelry line. "I think it's beautiful as a woman to have a good luck charm that you can keep with you...that someone can give to you. It's sweet and meaningful," says Heidi. The collection is for the fashion-conscious woman whose taste in jewelry is timeless and elegant, much like Heidi's own style and beauty.

Heidi Klum Models Bold Bangles and Bright Versace at the HALO Awards

Heidi Klum arrived at the Hollywood Palladium in LA last night decked out in an armful of bangles from her Wildlife collection and a graphic Versace dress. She was one of the stars on hand for Nickelodeon's TeenNick HALO Awards. Nick Cannon stepped out solo to host the event while his lovely wife, Mariah Carey, and "dem babies," twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, cheered him on via Twitter. True Blood heartthrob Stephen Moyer also came out to support the "Helping and Leading Others" initiative, which recognizes teens who are making a difference in their communities.

Heidi's week of big events is just getting started. She's hosting two Halloween parties this weekend, one in Las Vegas and the other in NYC. In years past, she's kept her intricate outfits top secret. However, yesterday Heidi strayed from tradition and gave fans a sneak peek of her elaborate monkey and skeleton costumes.

We bet there'll be sequins! Beyoncé will soon join the ranks of the world's most fashionable women who've tried their hand at designing maternity clothes once they found themselves in a pregnant way. In an interview with Bazaar, Beyoncé revealed that she's working on a maternity line for the House of Deréon line she and her mom design. She told the magazine that, "I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering . . . but I still rock my stilettos."

Beyoncé isn't Tinseltown's first expectant mama to think about what pregnant women want to wear - both Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum have designed maternity collections while pregnant, with Klum's clothes still being sold at Destination Maternity stores. This time, though, it's probably safe to say that the clothes will have more sequins and sparkle, given Beyoncé's signature look. Heidi Klum Switches Gears From the Runways to the Beauty Counter

Heidi wrapped up her season nine Project Runway hosting duties during last week's finale during New York Fashion Week. Now, Heidi's moved on to promoting her fragrance, Shine by Heidi Klum. Heidi also recently launched her own jewelry collection, Wildlife, exclusively for QVC.
