FABTV: Madonna "Cherish"

Madonna is a frequent visitor on FABTV but never has she been so upbeat than in this sing-a-long song. I love how Madonna manages to be sensual and not overtly sexual in her wet shirtdress and boy cut. While the mermen's glistening bodies are nice, my favorite bits are Madonna hamming it up for the camera. She looks like she's having so much fun rolling around in the waves and flirting with us. No surprise this black-and-white video was directed by Herb Ritts, who also directed my favorite Janet Jackson video. It's Summer Fabbies? Cherish the joy.

How fabulous does Janet look in this video? This was always my favorite video of hers - it's sexy, beautiful and the song totally rocks.

Let's start off with the fact that the video was a masterpiece of fashion photographer Herb Ritts - it was his vision that Janet wear nothing more than a black top and a pair of jeans. I think that's one of the best parts of the video - her simple and sexy outfit, topped off by a headbanded bouffant and hoop earrings. Then we have (lucky) Janet cuddling up to two hot budding actors: Antonio Sabato Jr. and Blood Diamond's Djimon Hounsou. Lastly, the flashing between artistic black and white footage and vibrant color scenes, makes for total eye candy. What an amazing few seconds at 3:47 when Hounsou is teetering on a large white sculptural half circle. Enjoy, and I know you're going to sing along to this one.
