While Miranda Kerr took her high-waisted black shorts on a tropical vacation, Lauren Conrad wore hers out on the town with an Alexander Wang top. It goes to show how versatile high-waisted black shorts are. They can weather extreme heat and go party hopping with you, too!

As exemplified by both Miranda and Lauren, you should tuck your top into your shorts, to show off the high waist. Just make sure your top is not too frilly or loud; the high-waist style is already a tad trendy on its own.

There are two reasons I'm envious of Australian model Miranda Kerr. First, she's dating and vacationing with Orlando Bloom and second, she has legs the length of the Eiffel Tower! Now that I got that off my chest, we can move on to her cool, casual style. On her aforementioned romantic getaway, Miranda exuded an easy-going vibe that all vacation-goers should master. She threw on a white V-neck tee, black high-waisted shorts, and some wedge espadrilles. No fuss, no fluff - just the way a vacation ought to be.

Fab Finding Follow Up: Off to the Flea Market!

I love shopping but I hate being indoors when the weather is so nice outside. A flea market adventure is the perfect remedy to my predicament and I'm always down for a vintage hunt - who knows what treasures I'll find!

I started you off with this Matiko Iva Sandals ($80) because I love the huarache-inspired cut and the flat heel will keep me comfortable all day long while I scrounge for goodies. Let's see what you all came up with.

She's so high on her newfound way to shake up a tried-and-true look, and I'm feeling high just appreciating how well the shorts accentuate and flatter her legs. Very nice.

Alexander McQueen showed his colorful side with this McQ Zip Up Romper, ($400). The abstract print is Spring festive, but I'm not really sure about the short, high-waisted cut. It's pretty hard to pull off this look - it looks like a Rainbow Bright meets Power Ranger costume. Is this romper hot, or not?

A Fabby Halloween: Baby

What better way to pay tribute to the late Patrick Swayze than with an ode to his "Baby" in Dirty Dancing? The story of a rich and innocent teenage girl turned infatuated woman will always be engraved in my memory. My favorite scene was when Frances "Baby" Houseman told Swayze she carried a watermelon - hilarious. 2010 Spring Paris Fashion Week: Stella McCartney

This is Stella's party and she'll dress her women how she wants to! That's precisely what the British designer did, as friends like Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlotte Casiraghi looked on. Stella's Spring creations remind that she is a multi-faceted woman, full of life and passion for fashion. She continues to appreciate neutrals and lace, but is now also totally exuberant. The major show-stealers are accordion-pleated ruffles and bright, juicy colors like royal blue, fuchsia, and orange.

Parts of this collection reminded me of her past - crisp high-waisted trousers, oversized blazers, camel hues - but so much of it was fresh. A one-piece bathing suit, a developing Spring trend made its way onto the catwalk, as did dramatically sexy blouses, maxi dresses, lace halter tops, and mini boy shorts.
