New mommy Naomi Watts is a breath of fresh air in her white dress and metallic flats. I love that she looks effortless yet put together, understated but not boring. This ensemble makes me wish more gals would embrace the color white. It's a nice change from the sea of blacks out there.

These colored metallic handbags are a refreshing take on the metallic trend that's been so strong the past couple seasons. Really, I knew it wouldn't too long before we would start seeing metallic incarnations and I am quite excited for these. They kind of make my mouth water; is that normal? This Just In! Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler Tie the Knot

Word on the SF street is Simon Doonan and partner Jonathan Adler just tied the knot! The stylish couple have been together 14 years and signed the official marriage documents in City Hall of San Francisco.

What did they wear? Doonan wore a Liberty shirt, Barneys Co-op jeans, Prada v-neck, Hogan shoes, and Thom Browne velvet jacket, while his interior designer lovah sported a pair of Barneys Co-op jeans, Fred Perry Co-op sweater, and Adidas sneakers.

"I turned off the ringer on my BlackBerry. That's very romantic; it's a big deal for me to do that," said Adler. Congrats!

Fashion Week Quickie: The Outfit Plan

As you read this I am Jet Blueing across the country. I will be doing a mix of restless organization, napping, and guilty television watching. Don't you love long flights sometimes? I do, especially during hectic times when you are forced to sit still and chill out. But before I embark on another fashion-filled week, stressed to the max, inspired to the fullest, my days working at Martha Stewart help me prepare. If you have yet to see the infamous outfit plan (print your own), which I do before every Fashion Week, here's the latest and Fabest.The approach this time is a mix of minimalism and California laid-back style. Colors are black, white, and purple, and jewelry is playing a bigger part than ever before. Total amount of shoes: Four pairs! Not bad, considering previous seasons. Bags: Also four - don't ask me why. But these always need to be big enough to carry my reporter essentials; brands represented on Fab's shoulder will be Foley + Corinna, vintage Bottega Veneta, Hogan, and Prada. Does anyone else spot an Italian theme here? Jackets, oh how I love them so, will be kept to a minimum given the warm forecast (yes!), and my Marc by Marc umbrella is packed! Get ready girls, let the fashion games begin.

I recently scored - and I mean scored - a Hogan bag (for $130!) much like this Oasis Leather Cross Body Bag ($83). I believe every gal should have a vintage, or vintage-inspired brown bag to keep the boho craze going. I'm in love with the creamy color and the giant buckle detail. This is a good bag to take on a shopping excursion because it allows you to be hands-free. If you're not feeling this color, it also comes in red!
