Sometimes all it takes to perk up a drab day is a bright pair of pumps, and Fab reader savvy has this remedy down pat! She tucked a Yumi Kim button-down blouse into a belted BCBG skirt, and let her feet do the talking by slipping on a pair of glossy pink Miu Miu pumps. The pops of pink in her outfit are an unexpected yet welcomed departure from the typical Fall color palette and help put a colorful twist on a classic look.

Roundup: Fuchsia, All Grown Up

I spotted this photograph in the portfolio of Bruce Hemming and fell in love with hot pink all over again. I usually prefer dustier shades of pink, but this kitchen really proves that fuchsia hues can look all grown up and sophisticated. The girlish color needn't be reserved for the PBteen set! It's all about balance, keeping the rest of the room simple, and not filling it with too many florals, etc. I thought I'd round up some more grown-up fuchsia items if you're looking to integrate a little candy pop into your home!

It's only episode two of The City, but the friction is already on. Luckily, things were more positive in the style department. Whitney provided many fashion inspirations, the most fresh being this look she wore to work when Kelly revealed that she was chosen as one of three emerging designers for a Rue La La feature. Her hot pink tank and gold necklace play a sassy role, while the black boyfriend blazer and skinny jeans act as the tough cookies. Right-on combination.

For maximum contrast, she paired it with black tights, matching leather hoodie, and screen-print tee. In fact, it reminds me of something Taylor Momsen would wear. Rock out girl.
