Fab Flash: American Eagle + New Media

Clothes are no longer American Eagle's sole interest. In looking for new ways to connect with their customer, AE has decided to develop original entertainment content through ae.com, YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, and television.

Everything from music, comedies, reality programming and dramas are in the cards, but the first project is a 12-episode series, It's a Mall World, directed by Milo Ventimiglia. In the show, American Eagle products aren't explicitly referenced, but several of the characters do wear American Eagle. Fun!

Hawaii's World Festival of Fashion

You know a shopping mall is high-end when it has its own Fashion Week. And starting today, the ritzy, 260-store Ala Moana Center in Honolulu is hosting its World Festival: Hawaii’s Fashion Week, which runs through Nov. 5. The 6th annual event includes a few fashion shows but focuses mainly on seriously fashion-focused events.

This sounds like a paradise for fashionistas, and not just because it's taking place in Hawaii. The best part is that World Festival attendees will have the chance to buy a number of special-edition handbags and other haute products, including a MAC Cosmetics silver overnight makeup case. Though these were created in very limited quantities just for the event and are available only in Hawaii, the products are fun to admire as eye candy. Here is a preview of some of the most stunning handbags and other products.

Celebrity Style: Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere looks so cute in her black and white Alice + Olivia dress at the It's a Mall World premiere. The entire ensemble - from the cinched wristlet to the peep-toe pumps - is very age and event appropriate. Other young Hollywood starlets should take note! And it looks like Hayden's also jumped on the summer braids trend. Love her!
