I know I'm not the only one obsessed with Mad Men. Not only is the plot juicy, but so are the clothes. I've already checked out Banana Republic's inspired pieces, made my own stylish Mad (Wo)Men, and hopefully soon, I can get retro designs from Mad Men's costume designer, Janie Bryant! “I love fashion as it allows us each to express our creativity and I love capturing the essence of an era through costume design,” says Janie. “Now I am looking forward to bringing that retro style to today's wardrobes.” Launch details are TBD, but we do know Janie is set to design a modern '60s-inspired line of men’s and women’s apparel, lingerie, swimwear, home, footwear and accessories. It's a mad, mad world . . .

Mad Men star January Jones attended a cocktail reception thrown by AMC in Pasadena last night. The actress definitely takes risks on the red carpet, but I don't think I've ever seen her rock a sheer LBD. The strategically placed bows can either be perceived as cute or distracting. She's not wearing any other accessories besides her metallic sandals. What do you think of this look - adorable or annoying? Oh, and if you dig her chic cocktail makeup, get the look.

Banana Republic Dives Into Mad Men Land

Mad Men fans - present! - who visit Banana Republic between July 21 through Aug. 11 have a shot at appearing on the AMC series. Interested? Me too. During your shopping session, pick up a ticket to enter to win a walk-on role in an upcoming episode, as well as a $1,000 gift card from the store. Use the ticket code found on a Style Guide you'll be given profiling the characters to enter the casting call at madmencastingcall.amctv.com.
During this period, Banana's mannequins will be dressed in modern takes on the classic '60s style, and store windows will feature photos from the show. "Style and fashion are at the core of Mad Men with its 1960s aesthetic highlighting the classic silhouettes that are still popular today. Banana Republic is known for its modern takes on these classics . . . so the partnership is a natural fit for both brands," said Jack Calhoun, president of Banana Republic. Agreed, can't wait.

Chloé LA Opening Gathers Only the Chicest

The chicest of the chic gathered at Milk Studios last night to toast to the divine French house, Chloé, for debuting its LA boutique on Melrose. I adored Chloé's Spring line the minute I saw it, but I must admit, I didn't think it was for everyone. Boy was I wrong. Zoe Saldana (left), Kate Bosworth, Chloë Sevigny, Nicky Hilton, January Jones, and so many more made the collection come to life. And the collection made them come to life. Founder Gaby Aghion would have been proud. Step inside chic town.

Who Wore It Better? Dolce & Gabbana White Corset Dress

You may recall January in this white Dolce & Gabbana corset dress from the Emmys last Fall. We saw another incarnation when Penelope Cruz wore the sultry black version. It's back to white for model Marisa Miller who wore the dress at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Both blondes are bodacious, I can't choose who wore it better - you do the honors.

Fab Blab: January Says Crazy, John Says Pajamas at the Armani Store Opening Party

Was I ready for the Armani party? Affirmative. After getting manicured and coiffed at the Waldorf Astoria Fashion Week Suite, I couldn't have timed a little pampering better because the event was pretty insane. The star-studded party celebrated the new Fifth Avenue store containing all the Armani brands under one roof. It may sound excessive in dire times, but Armani declared, “One must go on. [This store] is an act of courage and faith towards America, a country that has supported me from the very beginning,” he said. “I think an entrepreneur should demonstrate a certain degree of bravery, even in difficult times, and I certainly wasn’t going to change my plans.”At one point, a star or star editor was in every direction. I got a chance to say hi again to Mad Men beauty January Jones. Looking sirenesque in a beaded LRD, she yelled "Great to see you. It's crazy here!" She was going to attend a couple more fashion shows today and then she was outtie. The best quickie quote of the night, though, was John Mayer. When asked how his Armani suit felt, he gushed, "It feels - a great suit feels like a pair of pajamas. And I could sleep in this thing. Thinking about going fetal right here, in the building.” Lastly, a couple high profilers slipped by me, but I had to mention how decadent in Armani Victoria Beckham looked.
