Michelle Obama is such an icon, there's a second book dedicated to her first-class style. Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy ($18) follows the first lady's wardrobe choices, from her wedding dress to her White House getups. You'll also find interviews with designers like Maria Pinto, Isabel Toledo, and Jason Wu, who have all dressed Michelle.

Though I don't have a lot of it in my closet (do any of us?), I quite enjoy naranja, aka orange. It's optimistic, energizing, youthful — it is FitSugar's color, after all. Amongst all the white, neutrals, and grays of Spring, orange stood out to me at once.

I couldn't help but ask myself, "Would Michelle Obama wear that?", while checking out Jason Wu's tantalizing Spring collection. Indeed, I saw a couple pretty dresses that Michelle would jump for, but his creations aren't just for the First Lady. Any cutie would be so lucky to don his array of youthful separates and magical frocks.

While I physically and mentally prepare myself for New York Fashion Week, designers are hard at work putting finishing touches on their creations. I can't wait to meet the clothes in person, but in the meantime, here's a sneak peek of what's going on in the design studios as we speak. Some are in a frenzy — Betsey Johnson even prays to the fashion gods — while others like Jason Wu (left) are more calm.

"I like your sleeves, they're real big." Little did Napoleon Dynamite know, pouf pieces, like Deb's sleeves, would be in vogue a few years later. We've been experiencing shoulder love for a couple seasons now and we agree shoulder pads are debatable.

This past weekend was extra special because I attended the Oscar de la Renta fashion show in Lake Tahoe — 'twas fun! It was an annual charity soiree hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue and the League to Save Lake Tahoe, so I needed you to help me seek an elegant ensemble. Fancy, flat sandals were a must and I asked you to layer on the jewels.

When CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg asked creative director Trey Laird to "Capture fashion — do something fabulous," for its 2009 CFDA nominees photo shoot, Laird took it to a whole new level. Instead of using models, he decided to feature the designers wearing their own work — hence Jason Wu in his green gown. The photos, shot by Craig McDean at Milk Studios, feature all of the nominees sporting their creations in fun ways; for instance, Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez donned their handbags as boxing gloves, and Marc Jacobs sported bunny ears.

Jessica Alba opted to wear a strapless ocean blue dress by Jason Wu to the Met festivities. The jewel-encrusted top looks good enough to eat, and so do the hot pink clutch and emerald earrings. However, what's up with the black tights?
