Paris Fashion Week is the creme de la creme of all fashion events. New York had its highlights; London wowed me with its revived schedule; and Milan is always beautiful, but Paris? Undeniably thrilling. Here's a roundup of my favorite looks, ranging from the spooky, kooky looks of Gareth Pugh to breathtaking frocks from Yves Saint Laurent. Gaultier For Target - Woo-Hoo!

UPDATE: Jean Paul Gaultier's exclusive line for Target will debut in stores and online on March 7. Photos haven't been released yet, but we do know the collection will feature pieces inspired by American women and pop culture from the past and the present.

We have no sneak peeks yet, but we do know it's going to happen. Jean Paul Gaultier has signed on with Target to be the next Designer Collaborator. Anna Sui's collab is available in stores and online now and included a pop-up store in NYC; sources say a pop-up may happen for Gaultier. I'm looking forward to a cool dose of Parisian chic and some hot prints. Stay tuned . . .

Trend Alert: Strut Like an Egyptian

Here's the thing - I'm a pretty anti-sequel kind of gal. Why mess with perfection? Filming for Sex and the City 2 has begun, and though I may be skeptical about the movie, I'm not about the wardrobe. And really, that's half (more than half?) of what made the first SATC movie faboo. So . . . I can be swayed. Especially after seeing Carrie's first outfit from the film: what appears to be a Halston Heritage white dress, gold glitter Louboutins, gold mirrored aviators, and Carrie strutting like an Egyptian with her stunning multi-faceted necklace. What a stunner. Jump on this new jewelry trend before it hits theaters.

Sundance Channel Goes Full Frontal Fashion

I was bummed when Full Frontal Fashion, a fashion program focusing on New York Fashion Week, was canceled back in January. Now there's some light at the end of the tunnel - the Sundance Channel is reviving it in its own way. "For us, it’s not about the trendy - it’s just about this dramatic, entertaining and, above all, creative perspective," said general manager Sarah Barnett. Expect a mix of original television programming and Web content.

The Day Before is a four-part series that follows four designers - Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi, and Proenza Schouler - in the 36 hours preceding their shows. As for the website, which launches Sept. 1, here's what you'll see: Patrick McMullan's video reports and a photo diary from the collections, and contributions from Lynn Yaeger, former Teen Vogue and Nylon fashion editor Aya Kanai, and Los Angeles Times editor Robin Sayers. The site will also feature a video and photo exhibition of the work of Bruce Weber.

2009 Fall Couture: Jean Paul Gaultier

Judging from Jean Paul Gaultier's Fall couture creations, he didn't have a shortage of inspiration. The powerful warrior princess, the chic '20s flapper, the old-Hollywood actress, and the feisty futuristic goddess all had a place on the catwalk . . . and in JPG's eyes, they all prevail. Exquisite gowns set a glamorous tone: some with floor-length capes attached to them, some robe-like, and some chiffon with armor-like bodices. Fur played a big part - fur collars, coats, chubbies, and skirts made appearances. And what's luxury without beading? It showed up in the most unique ways, my favorite being the fine gold beaded overalls Kim Noorda rocked. Color didn't play a big part, but there were random bouts of rich purple, yellow, pink, and brown.

Fab Read: Maison Martin Margiela

After checking out Maison Martin Margiela ($63), by Martin Margiela, I found myself even more intrigued by the mysterious, elusive Belgian designer. I admit, I was disappointed with the blank cover baring only the brand's tag and not Margiela's face, but the decadent fabric, inks, ribbons, and minibooklets inside make up for it. Not only is this book beautiful, it also offers insight into Margiela's secretive creative process along with exclusive essays about Margiela from fashion greats such as Vanessa Beecroft, Andreé Putman, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Scintillating, to say the least.

Which amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Attendee Is Most Fab?

The Cannes Film Festival has no shortage of parties, amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS benefit being one of the biggest. This year's star-studded red carpet cast includes Zoe Saldana, Eva Herzigova (in Dolce & Gabbana), Dita von Teese (in Jean Paul Gaultier), Diane Kruger (in Chanel), and Kerry Washington (in Marchesa). As you can see, each pulled out all the stops, but only one can be most Fab.

Trend Alert: Black With a Splash of Hot Pink, Please

All black is siempre all Fab, but today I'll take black with a splash of hot pink, please. These stunners all look marvelous in their all-black ensembles, but what packs the punch are the slivers of hot pink. Victoria Beckham looks killer in her sharp black pieces, but everyone is really focusing on her pink and red Dolce & Gabbana jeweled headband. Slumdog Millionaire's main squeeze, and my budding girl crush, Freida Pinto wore a glittering Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a neck and back pink inlay. Lastly, Salma looked bodacious in Alexander McQueen's black suit with pink neck detail and sandals with pink underbelly. This look can easily be achieved with a flirtatious headband, scarf, or shoe - the hotter the pink the better.
