Do you remember when Charlize Theron wore Lanvin's gold metallic dress at The Burning Plain premiere over a year ago? Well, Jenna Elfman sported the same exact frock last night at the TCA party in Pasadena, but notice how the two styled their Lanvin creation very differently. Jenna opted for a more casual appeal, accessorizing with chandelier earrings and simple black sandals. Charlize chose to dramatize her dress with a black belt, sky-high platform pumps, patent clutch, and sleek 'do. Which blonde worked it better?

Rosamund Pike - what a grand name. This British actress, best known for playing a Bond villain in Die Another Day and Jane Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, has a fashion sense as unique as her name. Without fail, every time I see a photo of her at an event, I get wardrobe envy. She has a natural ability to wear the simplest of clothes, yet she makes them look extra special. I gather it's because she always adds a memorable piece, be it colorful shoes, a velvet shrug, a vintage belt, or a huge cocktail ring. The result is bold but never extreme. Think of her as the master of simultaneously looking daring and tame.

Off topic, but doesn't she sort of resemble actress Jenna Elfman?

LA Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Whitley Kros

It was all checkerboard chicks at Whitley Kros' Fall '08 show! This time around, Marissa Ribisi (Giovanni's twin sis, in case you forgot) and Sophia Banks whipped up a more '80s-inspired collection, but as always, they delivered the fun.

Models, including America's Next Top Model cycle nine second runner up Chantal Jones, sashayed down the catwalk in oodles of plaid, large black and white checkers, and zebra-emblazoned pieces, as stars like Bijou Phillips and Jenna Elfman looked on. Polished high-waisted skirts and cardigan dresses balanced out the masculine baggy trousers and blazers.

A few zebra-in-the-crotch pants were random, but I much appreciated the two-tone fringe scarves and bursts of vibrant colors. Any collection that can have fun despite the moodiness of Fall is Fab in my book.
