Handbags, jewels, and lingerie mingled this week when social-cum-handbag/jewelry designer Genevieve Jones and La Perla showed off their latest collections at the La Perla Black Label boutique in NYC. The likes of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Elise Overland came out to ogle Genevieve's bling and La Perla's lacy underthings. Sounds like a win-win. Designer Zac Posen even showed up and nabbed a peck from the lady of the night, who, may I say, was dressed to impress.

Who, what, where (or wear)? These are the questions people had running through their heads when the Spring Fashion Weeks were in effect. We were mostly focusing on the clothes rather than who dominated the front rows, but let us also dissect the guests. Editors, celebrities, and models get invited to the shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. One lady who always looked amazing was Carine Roitfeld. Here, at the Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris, the Vogue Paris editor gave new meaning to the term power suit. The serious glare also helps. Seeing Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld and her daughter Julia in such powerful ensembles at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival makes me wish my mom and I were that rich and famous! There were a lot, and I mean a lot, of stunning red-carpet looks this week, but no one was as captivating as this fashionable French mother-daughter duo. Natalie Portman in Givenchy came in at close second, but Carine and Julia take the crown because I believe in power in numbers. The first of the two - Carine in Lanvin - were slick women in black. Later, at the amFAR event they were bombshells in Balmain (cue lightening sound effects). Fierce.

How very Kate Moss of Kate Moss to wear all black at her white wedding. Don't panic - she didn't run off and marry boyfriend Jamie Hince.

To celebrate the launch of Kate Moss for Agent Provocateur Bridal - because you know there's always a celebration - Kate and her posse partied the evening away at Milk Studios in NYC. Fabulous guests in attendance included Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Lake Bell, and Byrdie Bell (no relation). Several neon signs, including one behind the bar that screamed "Let Them Eat Kate," made it very clear who the party was in honor of . . . the bride in black, of course!

Our love for Mango just grew. We always fawn over Penelope Cruz's Mango ads, and now we can admire fashion plate and spawn of French Vogue Editor Carine Roitfeld's daughter (and son) in them. Here's a preview of Julia in Mango's Spring offerings. Her bro, Vladimir, can be found in the men's ads. Shot by Spanish photog Txema Yeste, Julia has the look and the poses down pat. However, I wish her hair would slide out of her face so we can see her baby blues better. The background is stark and modern, allowing Julia to do her thing. The overall coloring is watery and cool, but not as cool as Julia. What do you think? Would you want to see more?

When the Cruz sisters throw a party, you better believe it's going to be filled with fashionable A-listers. In celebration of the newly renovated Mango flagship in SoHo, Monica Cruz hosted a fete filled with beautiful clothes and lovely party-goers. Solange Knowles performed for giddy guests Marc Jacobs, Dakota Johnson Griffith, and Ashley Olsen, to name a few. You can tell from the pictures - check out Genevieve Jones and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in a chummy hug - everyone had a blast. Looks like some of the party animals should have remembered to pack their morning-after clothes.

Oh mommy dearest - I once shunned your fashion advice, but now I regularly seek it. As a young lassie, I assumed you knew little about style, but now I realize I learned much of what I know from you. If my endless shopping excursions with mom have helped my personal style and wardrobe, imagine what the splurge-fests for the daughters of Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld (Editor of Vogue Paris), Danielle Steel, and Demi Moore have done for them! It's obvious Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Bee Shaffer (Anna's daughter), Rumer Willis, and the Traina sisters (Danielle's kids) have oodles of expensive closets to choose from . . . but it all comes down to personal style. For me, Carine and Julia stand out because of their effortlessly cool Euro vibe. Who is the best dressed mother/daughter combo to you?
