Now that we've defined it, we can eat it up. I didn't realize until Marc Jacobs' Spring collection that I've always been lovin' Lurex. A sucker for anything sparkly, Lurex adds a smidgen of Studio 54 to any item. Many of us won't be able to afford MJ come Spring, so scour your local vintage shop for Lurex infested items. Either way, hop on this trend before it's hot.

California Is Latest State to Ban Shark Fin

Do you recall how last year, Hawaii became the first state to ban shark finning? Well, California followed suit this past weekend. On Saturday, California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a law that bans the possession, sale, and distribution of imported shark fins, calling the practice "cruel" and the new legislation "in the interest of future generations." Fins already in the state may be sold and possessed until July 1, 2013.

Shark fins are used to make shark fin soup, an expensive Chinese delicacy that can start at a whopping $40 per bowl. Although a number of public figures - Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, and Yao Ming, to name a few - have spoken out against the practice, others believe the ban to be an assault on Chinese culture and cuisine.

While Oregon and Washington have also implemented similar laws, California is the largest and most influential state to pass the ban thus far. With such a critical state on board with the ban, do you expect the rest of the country to follow?

Carey Mulligan Goes For a Playful Look at the Theater

Carey Mulligan left the NYC theater where she's starring in Through a Glass Darkly yesterday, wearing a breezy maxi dress that showed a peek of her lacy bra. The actress dyed her hair a darker shade of brown for the off-Broadway production, which has been keeping her busy since she finished shooting Drive with Ryan Gosling and wrapped up award season. She even skipped the Cannes Film Festival, where Ryan debuted their film, due to her commitment to the play. The show began preview performances on May 13 and will run through early July, which means Carey is also likely to miss the movie's Los Angeles Film Festival gala screening in two weeks. Since earning an Oscar nomination for her role in An Education, Carey has been a hot commodity in Hollywood. She recently landed the coveted role of Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby and is rumored to be in the running for the part of Eliza Doolittle in a buzzed-about remake of My Fair Lady.

Kate Bosworth Has the Blues During a Star-Studded Coldplay Concert

Kate Bosworth arrived in a colorful Missoni top and debuted her newly dip-dyed tips at last night's sold-out Coldplay concert at UCLA. She's the latest star to experiment with unexpected hair color following Lauren Conrad's pre-Fourth of July red, blond, and blue look. It seems Kate's found a new pal to join her at shows since she and Alexander Skarsgard recently announced their split. Lindsay Lohan was also in the crowd joined by her younger sister, Ali. Coldplay put on a 90-minute performance to benefit the Grammy Foundation's Grammy in the Schools music program. Chris Martin and his bandmates filled the set with their popular anthems "Viva La Vida" and "Yellow" as well as new songs like "Charlie Brown" and "Every Teardrop" from their forthcoming album. Coldplay capped off the show with a touching tribute to Amy Winehouse, breaking into a haunting rendition of "Rehab" during their three-song encore. Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't in the audience for last night's show, but she may be able to meet up with Chris tomorrow in Chicago, where the band is headlining the annual Lollapalooza music festival.

Kate Moss Sees Jamie Hince and His Retro Suitcase Off

Kate Moss toted one of the bags from her Longchamp line yesterday when she left her London home with her fiancé, Jamie Hince. The duo were joined by her hair stylist pal James Brown for the outing, and it seemed Jamie was heading off somewhere with his suitcase in hand. Kate and Jamie have been hanging out in London buying furniture for their new mansion and finalizing the plans for their Summer wedding. The nuptials, supposedly taking place in early July, will be preceded by a blowout when his band, The Kills, plays at London's Carling Festival on June 24. There may be another highlight in the next few months for Kate, if rumors that she'll be on the cover of American Vogue's September issue prove to be true.

After reading Nate Berkus's resources for color inspiration, CasaSugar Community member cubamarsh wrote, "I have five-year-old boy/girl twins. They have to sleep in the same bedroom for the time being. Any suggestions how to decorate/PAINT especially for both?" I made some of my own suggestions with 10 ideas for gender neutral children's rooms, but I thought I'll poll all of you for your thoughts as well on Facebook. We got a great response with so many hues I'd never thought of, so I'm really excited to share these color ideas with you!

Emma Watson Hits the Pavement on a Break From Filming Her Latest Project

Emma Watson caught some rays while sitting on the side of the road with a friend in Pittsburgh on Saturday. A few fans came over to say hello, and Emma happily signed autographs and chatted with them. The actress took a break from her relaxing day to shop at a local J. Crew, and Emma apparently found a few items she liked since she left the store with multiple bags. Emma's in Pennsylvania to film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, though she'll have to break from the set to start promoting the final installment of Harry Potter ahead of its July release. Now that she's no longer a student at Brown University, Emma's piling up the projects. She was recently in France working as a Lancôme ambassador, a duty which has her involved in the brand's new Trésor Midnight Rose fragrance.
