Romanek python clutch. As always, she looks graceful in her Vena Cava keyhole dress. Her slingback peep-toe pumps are pretty, but I gave her a chunkier shoe to balance out the feminine dress.

Buzz Blabber: Ian Somerhalder Would Be a Perfect Christian Grey

Things got off to a hot start this week when we heard that The Vampire Diaries's Ian Somerhalder wanted to star as the handsome Christian Grey in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. How a Determined Desiree Davila Won a Spot on the US Olympic Marathon Team

We are pumped to share one of our fave stories from espnW here on FitSugar! This week's is an inspiring story about marathoner Desiree Davila, who will be representing the US in the Olympics for her first time. The following is an excerpt; read the entire story here.

At last January's Olympic trials in Houston, Texas, four top women had distanced themselves from the field: Desiree Davila, fellow favorites Shalane Flanagan and Kara Goucher, and Amy Hastings. Davila increased her tempo. Hastings dropped back. Davila forged on with Flanagan and Goucher, her five-foot-two, 98-pound frame dwarfed by her taller rivals. Then, with two miles to go, Flanagan kicked into a higher gear, and Davila was faced with another decision: should she try to match the surge and bid for the win, taking the chance that her cramping calves would betray her, or maintain her pace and protect her spot on the team?

Davila weighed the situation and decided not to risk it. Flanagan soloed to the line, and Davila secured her Olympic spot by finishing second, 17 seconds back, in 2:25:55. It was a tough, savvy race, and the latest evidence that Davila's gradual climb to the top is peaking at an ideal juncture.

After a largely anonymous high school and college career in the arid heat of Southern California and Arizona, she migrated to Michigan to join the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project in 2005. The elite training environment in a harsher climate helped her transform herself into "a contender, not just someone who's on the line and might have a good day," as she put it.

The Lesson Learned From Second Place

Davila debuted at the marathon distance in Boston in 2007 and ran 2:44.56 in a raging northeaster. A year later on the same course, Davila thought she had progressed enough to make the Olympic team. At mile 21, running fourth, it looked as if she'd been right. But Davila, who hadn't hydrated and eaten enough before the race, ran out of gas and faded to 13th.

She was devastated. Fellow marathoner and friend Amy Hastings was there to comfort her, and so was sister Natalie Davila. "If I'm investing my money in someone right now, it's you," the older sister said. "You're going in the right direction - you're going up."

Don’t Forget These 5 Tax Breaks

Tax Day is nearing and when you're rushing to file, don't forget these tax breaks cited by Kiplinger for a bigger tax refund.

With the tax-filing deadline coming up very soon, I'm still getting a lot of questions from people about potential tax breaks. Before you file, see if you’re eligible for the following deductions and tax credits.

Tax breaks for college costs. The American Opportunity tax credit can lower your tax bill by up to $2,500 if you spend at least $4,000 in tuition, required fees, books and course materials for the year. It applies to the first four years of postsecondary education. To qualify, your modified adjusted gross income must be less than $160,000 if you are married filing jointly, or $80,000 if you are single (the credit phases out completely at $180,000 for married couples, or $90,000 for single filers). The Lifetime Learning Credit applies to all years of postsecondary education (including graduate school) and can lower your tax bill by up to $2,000 per return. To qualify for the full credit, your modified adjusted gross income must be less than $100,000 if you are married filing jointly or $50,000 if you are single. The size of the credit phases out until your income reaches $120,000 if you are married filing jointly or $60,000 if single. See Tax Breaks and Credits For College Costs for more information.

Extra credit for saving. If you contributed to a traditional or Roth IRA, a 401(k) or another retirement savings plan, you may qualify for the retirement savers' tax credit, which can reduce your tax bill by up to $1,000 per person. To claim the savers' credit for 2011, your adjusted gross income must be $28,250 or less if you're single; $42,375 or less if you file your tax return as head of household; or $56,500 or less if you are married filing jointly. Easy Steps For First-Time Taxpayers

If you got your first job last year, you may have been agitated every payday to see how much of your salary was going to the tax man. If you’re like most taxpayers, tax filing time is payback time. So don’t think of filling out your tax forms as a pain. Instead, think of it as sending a bill to the IRS, demanding a refund of the amount by which you overpaid your taxes in 2011. Every year, three out of four filers get refunds.

Do you have to file? That depends on your income in 2011 and whether or not your folks will claim you as a dependent on their return (as is often the case for the year you graduate from college). If you are a dependent, you have to file if your gross income was at least $5,800; if they don’t claim you, the threshold is higher: $9,500. But even if you don’t have to file, you’ll want to, in order to reclaim income tax withheld from your paycheck.

Don’t treat your tax return like a term paper . . . by leaving it until the last minute. The absolute due date this year is April 17 (it was pushed back because April 15 falls on a Sunday and the next day is a holiday in the District of Columbia). However, the earlier you file, the better, since you will receive the money faster.

What you need. If you’ve filed before, the best way to prep for tax season is to use last year’s tax return as a road map. You can find the federal and state forms you need online at irs.gov or through the website of the Federation of Tax Administrators. Also, keep an eye out for important tax documents that come in the mail, such as the W-2 form from your employer or 1099 forms if you did freelance work. Employers should have sent these forms out by January 31. If not, give them a call.

Start with the feds. Since state forms often ask for numbers from your federal return, you’ll want to do the federal form first. Most young taxpayers can file the 1040EZ, which is the easiest form and has no supplementary forms. To qualify, you cannot claim any dependents and your taxable income must be less than $100,000.

But don’t shy away from longer forms - the 1040A or the full-fledged 1040 - if one of them is your ticket to tax savings.

Justin Timberlake Tells Vanity Fair About "Significant" Jessica and Not Talking to Britney Amid Olsen Rumors

Justin Timberlake lounged for a photo shoot in the July issue of Vanity Fair, which features Mario Testino's new photo of Prince William and Kate Middleton on the cover. JT is starting to do interviews for his upcoming movie Friends With Benefits, which comes out on July 22. He shared his thoughts on both acting and making music, also touching on his youth as a badly behaved Mouseketeer with Ryan Gosling. JT got personal, too, saying that Jessica Biel is still close to his heart despite their breakup and that he hasn't spoken to ex Britney Spears in nearly a decade. There was no addressing, though, rumors that Justin Timberlake and Ashley Olsen are a new item. Justin Timberlake told Vanity Fair:

On his enduring affection for Jessica Biel: "She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, O.K.? . . . I don't want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me - for instance, her."
On his relationship with Britney Spears: "I wish her the best - that goes without saying. We haven't spoken in 9 or 10 years . . . We were two birds of the same feather - small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense. I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person. I just don't think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers."
On becoming very famous at a young age: "It was exciting that we were having so much success and we could do whatever we wanted. They have to sleep in the same bedroom for the time being. Any suggestions how to decorate/PAINT especially for both?" I made some of my own suggestions with 10 ideas for gender neutral children's rooms, but I thought I'll poll all of you for your thoughts as well on Facebook. We got a great response with so many hues I'd never thought of, so I'm really excited to share these color ideas with you!

Beginner's 5K Training Schedule

Running your first 5K race is a magical thing! You train, you run, and you realize you like the adrenalin of the race and crossing the finish line is a unique high. Many consider the 5K distance a gateway race; meaning completing this distance leads to other races. If you can run 3.1 miles why not try for 6.2 and compete in a 10K? Why not tackle a triathlon?

Since many of you listed running a 5K as one of your fitness goals for the 2011, I thought it best if you trained with a plan. Physical therapist and running specialist Julie Ann Dougery of the CMPC Running Clinic created this 5K training schedule just for FitSugar. Her goal is to help you run a 10-minute mile race and train injury free. Before starting this 11-week schedule, which starts on a Wednesday so you could start tomorrow, you should be able to run 20 to 30 minutes continuously without pain. The plan has you running three days a week, supplemented with cross training - but be sure to rest at least one day a week.

Emma Watson Makes a Beary Cute Landing in London

Emma Watson clutched a graduation-themed teddy bear as she arrived at Heathrow Airport in London last night. She just returned to the UK from the East Coast, where she's been busy filming The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Emma's about to switch gears to do press for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which she's already started promoting with multiple magazine covers. Emma Watson is on the cover of July's Vogue, and she also posed for a spread in Seventeen. Deathly Hallows is the final installment in the Harry Potter franchise, and Buzz has a sneak peek at pictures from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ahead of its July 15 release date. Harry and his crew may finally be retiring, but author J.K. Rowling is still working on the series and recently created a new website called Pottermore that will allow fans to interactively read the Potter books and enjoy other content when it officially launches later this year.
