The Look For Less: Phillip Lim Lace Cropped Tee

My wardrobe's in need of a little Spring refresh, so I'm seeking out statement pieces I can pair with cutoffs and jeans, making my seasonal transition super easy. When I spied this pretty Phillip Lim Hairpin Lace Cropped Tee ($566), I wanted it, bad. How amazing with '70s-inspired denim and wedges? But, dropping that kind of cash on a frilly find? No way. What's a girl to do?

I sought out some lace that doesn't break the bank. This Topshop Scallop Lace Crop Tee ($44), may not feature the same decadent embroidery, but it's so easy on the wallet, and offers the same cute cropped silhouette with all that lovely lace.

Trend Alert: Springy Lace Tops

Lace is one of those fabrics that works for both cold and warm weather. It's really amazing how versatile it is actually; you can have the same style top and just switch the colors from say a dark burgundy to a bright coral and poof! You have a Springy lace top. I like lace for both seasons, but I like how for Spring the skin has a better chance of peeking through, adding to the old school allure of lace used for lingerie. Here are a few fun Springy lace tops - I suggest pairing them with a modern leather motorcycle jacket to toughen them up. Or wear them under a vest for a sexy menswear look.

Gisele and Benjamin Swing Into the Holiday Weekend

Gisele Bundchen and Benjamin Brady got a head start on their long holiday weekend in Boston today with a stop at their favorite neighborhood park. The pair sat side by side on the swings and seemed to be enjoying the beautiful East Coast weather.

Gisele's reunited with her guys, Ben, Tom, and Jack, following recent trips to Paris and Sao Paulo. While visiting her home country of Brazil, Gisele stepped out in a see-through lace top for the launch of her new lingerie line, Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates. She looked incredible at the event, though new rumors began swirling that Gisele is expecting her second child. So far, there's been no denial or confirmation about the baby news from Gisele or Tom Brady.

We always love a good Kate Middleton sighting, especially when she gets glam for the red carpet. The duchess kicked off her weekend in a beautiful teal Jenny Packham gown for the Our Team Rises Gala dinner in London. The gorgeous pleated chiffon dress showcased delicate lace detailing on the sleeves and back and an embellished crystal and flower waistband. Kate also selected teal for a casual day at a Berkshire polo match later in the weekend, choosing a prim and proper Libélula frock for the occasion.
