Fab Flash: Barneys Opens in San Francisco

The long-awaited opening of Barneys in San Francisco has finally arrived! The luxury flagship now occupies a six-floor building in the downtown Union Square district, stocking everything from designer collections on the third floor to women's contemporary wear (think Helmut Lang and Marc by Marc Jacobs) on the Co-op floor.

Residents of Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Arizona, sit tight, the love is coming your way: Barneys is planning on opening a Sin City flagship in several months, and one in Scottsdale in 2009.

I had the honor of attending the opening party last night, and though it wasn't at the store, in a tent-like spread at Union Square park, it was in the spirit of Barneys' "Taste, Luxury, Humor." With go go dancers in disco-ball inspired unitards, a traveling pack of flappers and a massive disco ball hanging over the dance floor it was super fun. Stay tuned for partysugar's inside look over at Yum. And here I am, with a flapper-inspired look myself, and a fashionable buddy on the dance floor. Yay for Barneys San Francisco!

Victoria's Secret Top 10 Finalists Revealed!

Remember when I told you about Victoria's Secret's nationwide casting call? Well, the ballots are in, the top 10 finalists chosen. The lovelies include Alicia Hall (my favorite), a brown haired, blue eyed Las Vegas native and do-gooder; Jamie Lee Darley, a self-proclaimed tomboy and Bay Area native; and Catharina Lee, a reformed party girl who's currently studying communications at George Mason University. Look who got her hands on a Matthew Williamson for H&M dress before it hits stores! Although - she doesn't look very happy to be wearing it, smile Ginnifer! The Big Love actress wore the artsy dress to a party in Las Vegas, but opted to leave it loose for an effortless look. She kept her accessories to a minimum, making the dress the center of attention. H&M paired the dress with a studded belt - I can't decide which styling I prefer. What about you? April 23 peeps . . .

Minimal jewels allow Saunders's creation to shine while black sandals by Sergio Rossi further Sienna's ferocity. This severe, body-con red patterned dress is a surprising choice for the bohemian actress, but I think she pulls it off. Do you like it?

Last weekend, I escaped SF for some sin in Vegas, baby. Well, not really, but it was fun nonetheless. I actually attended a friend's bridal party, so we sipped champagne during the day and vodka at night. I already had my p.m. party outfit so I asked you to help me find a bridal-worthy a.m. look.

Trend Alert: Gothic Jewels

Soon, vamps will not only be trendy on the screen. I'm anticipating gothic jewels in the form of rosaries, crosses, and shark teeth, apparently, to start warding off delicious evil. Twilight's Robert Pattinson recently went gaga over Finn jewelry's pavé diamond shark’s tooth necklace at a photo shoot. The stylist on set was wearing said necklace and Pattinson ended up buying an 18-karat gold version on a leather cord. Other manly men who dig Finn's sharky bling: Liev Schreiber and Brad Pitt.
On the Angels and Demons side of the Hellmouth, Italian jewelry brand Damiani merged with costume designer Daniel Orlandi to create the jewelry for the action film. The special collection of crosses and rosary beads inspired by the film will be crafted with gold, diamonds, onyx, and black enamel. The line, aptly named Angels & Demons, will make an appearance at the upcoming Couture trade show in Las Vegas. Don't get too excited; prices range from $3,440-$8,540. Nobody said it was cheap being Buffy . . .

Newly married Mandy Moore hosted the season opening of Tao Beach in Las Vegas over the weekend. Seeing as the weather in Sin City is sizzling, it's fitting that the actress chose a colorful maxi dress from Diane von Furstenberg's collection. Always the simple gal, Mandy didn't wear any jewels, but her Vanessa Bruno studded sandals helped pull in some tough chick spunk.

Who Wore It Better? Matthew Williamson For H&M Peacock Print Dress

There were mixed results, but the majority of you loved Katy Perry in this Matthew Williamson for H&M dress. Does the dress suit heiress Nicky Hilton, too? She wore it hosting a party at Prive Las Vegas. She opted for an oversized clutch, keeping with the feather theme, while Katy wore a cheeky pink metallic lip clutch. As well, Nicky went bare legs and matchy shoes, while Katy wore tights and metallic shoes. Who wore this peacock frock best?
