Badgley Mischka is celebrating 20 years of decadent design with some of their favorite Hollywood clients. After all, if it weren't for them, the brand wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Shot by Annie Leibovitz, the designing duo enlisted Eva Longoria, Carrie Underwood, Brooke Shields, Lauren Hutton, and Anjelica Huston to pose alongside them in an array of their decadent couture gowns - luckies! “Obviously it shows we believe in glamour more than ever. It’s what we do and what we love to do,” said Badgley.

It may look dingy at first glance, but the dark backdrop in Paramount Studios only brings more attention to the designers' intricate creations. My favorite has to Carrie Underwood in the lovely lavender ruffled frock. "I love Badgley Mischka for not only making the most beautiful gowns, but also for bringing together such strong, amazing women to celebrate 20 years of glamour and fashion," said Underwood. You can't go wrong with beautiful dresses and dazzling stars. I love this, do you?

Fab Flash: Hutton Models Mango

An inspiring move was made by Spanish retailer Mango: modeling veteran Lauren Hutton will star in their upcoming Fall campaign. At 64, she proves that modeling isn't just for baby-faced babes. The campaign is praisingly called “We love you, Lauren” and was shot by photographer Antoni Bernard. Hutton will be showing off pinstripe shirts, a chunky knit minidress, and silk shorts. However, Hutton will be joined by young'un model Alice Dellal, who will vogue for Mango's denim campaign. We love Penelope Cruz in Mango clothes, and I have a feeling we'll love Lauren, too.

Fab Flash: Met Costume Institute Gala Dates and Designers Revealed

The Costume Institute Gala, kicking off May 4, has everyone giddy with anticipation. Like prom, one of the most important decisions is choosing your dress and date. This year, the "Model as Muse" theme has inspired many designers to choose models as their dates, while others are sticking to their usual beau and celeb buddies. Word has it Marc Jacobs will dress fellow cohost Kate Moss in his own design, while Madonna and Kerry Washington are set to don Louis Vuitton. "How did you hear that?" said Washington. "I am so excited about my ensemble. I know what I'm wearing, but I'm not telling."

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Marc Jacobs

Not only was Marc inspired by early Americana - he masterminded the colors, fabrics, jewels and accessories. For Marc's re(marc)able Spring, there were also goofy shoes, mismatched prints, Stephen Jones-designed boater hats, obi belts, and wackadoodle bags. There was also an elegant vaudeville feel, and are those shoulder pads I see? The mirror panels up and down the runway were reminiscent of a fun house - a fashion fun house. I love it when Marc goes maximum, and not minimum. Fab sightings included Jennifer Lopez (in white Roland Mouret), Winona Ryder, Rachel Zoe (we chatted, more on that later), Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie in a rhinestone hippie headband, Sofia Coppola, and Lauren Hutton. Not only was the event a circus, the catwalk was, too.9:10 p.m.: “Ladies and gentleman please take your seats, we are about to begin the show.” I honestly think Marc is still trying to make up for lost time (show time was 9 p.m.). People were running to get their seats, it was slightly sardine-like.

The clothes: fantastical, colorful, and confused. Suits and separates were mismatched, and all cinched, gathered and bustled with cloth obi belts. Metallic brocade, plaid, and stripes were all whipped together; silhouettes were all over the place, draping was key. And the shoes - which model Jordan Dunn post-show asked me if I noticed - were wonderfully experimental. There was no black in sight until the end, when some stunning dresses appeared, one favorite adorned with gold safety pins at the bodice. This collection was controlled chaos. I spoke of the hats, and stacked bangles and architectural necklaces were added fun. Fun fashion house.
