It doesn't take a rocket scientist to catch on to the latest leopard scarf craze. The trend is by no means a new one (Kate wore the red Louis Vuitton one back in January), but there has been a recent resurgence. Sienna also has a Louis Vuitton one she shares with her beau; Kate has a short fringe one; Ashley has been rocking a multi-colored kind; and Jessica Simpson was even recently spotted with a red one. These leopard-print scarves come in all shapes, colors and sizes, but who do you think wore theirs better - Sienna, Kate, or Ashley?

Does Your Man Steal Your Clothes? Sienna Miller's Does!

I read this story about Sienna Miller and her new man Rhys Ifans and upon closer inspection discovered that Rhys is wearing Sienna's leopard Louise Vuitton scarf (if you can spare $1,325, buy the same one here) in the shot of them in the car. Later, when they exit the car, Sienna takes her accessory back and puts it around her neck, where it belongs.

There are a couple things wrong with this picture. Firstly, men should stay away from leopard print, unless they're cheekily trying to get frisky in the bedroom. Secondly, they shouldn't wear their girlfriends' clothes. Am I being way harsh? Does your man steal your clothes?

Designer Spotlight: Ashley Ashoff

I have recently noticed celebs wearing bright colorful scarves and here is a 23-year-old Paris-based scarf designer on the verge of shaking up the scarf scene. Burberry's got the plaids covered, Louis Vuitton's got the leopard print covered, but Ashley Ashoff's creations have a modernized tie-dye look to them.

This is one California native who hopes to "see American ladies become more modest, in antithesis to all that [celebrities such as] Britney Spears represent." Her handmade silk scarves take up to 15 hours to make and she is specifically targeting famous peeps to get the word out, or rather, wear out.

For example, for Spring, she sent out a letter to various celeb and friends asking them what was the best advice they've ever been given. The mottos will then be applied to the scarves - customized if you will. For scarves that cost $195-$295, Ashoff believes if "people pay a lot for an item, it should be handcrafted." I second that emotion. Her colorful scarves are available through her website and on an order-only basis.

Kate Moss sure has been in the public eye lately, and we love how her fashions never let us down. She was spotted dressed down in London this week braving the cold while leaving a friend's house. Are You Over Scarves?

I know it's only December but is it the attack of the scarves or what? Don't misunderstand me - I love and wear scarves often, but it seems like too many celebrities are wearing them all the time and during inappropriate situations, like on the red carpet and in scorching weather. Lindsay Lohan, has not only been loyal to her leggings since her return to LA, she's also been drowning in lengthy scarves. And we can't forget the leopard scarf epidemic that infected Kate Moss, SJP, and Ashley Olsen. I think scarves are a great way to accessorize a drab outfit, but I'm not for all scarves all the time, everywhere. What do you think? Are you over scarves?

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Derek Lam

Derek Lam is always searching for the feminine ideal, and I think he may have hit the nail on the head with this collection (even if it was a little scatterbrained)! Ever one of my favorites, I have to say, he channeled a little bit of young Oscar de la Renta on this turn...

In fact, things were a little wild! Leopard print was spotted under a sharp 70s-inspired suit, scarfed around necks, covering a mackintosh, and wafting in the wind on a caftan minidress. There was also zebra print - one zebra dress even looked made-for-Posh (the fact that the model had cropped blonde hair and big sunnies on added to that effect).

Pea green, colorblocking, hippie chic florals, demure silk, zigzags...this collection was all over the place. Especially when it got to the glamour girl dresses. I wish you had more coherence on this one, Derek, but don't worry, you'll always be my Lam(b).
