You know you made them at camp. Lots of them. And though I prefer picking them up in foreign lands as mementos, I can't help but collect more and more friendship bracelets. When I zeroed in on Amanda Seyfried's futurama Doo.Ri dress and black sparkly Pierre Hardy shoes, I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple stringy, colorful bracelets on her wrist - here's a closer peek. I love sparkle and statement on the red carpet, but the unexpected youthful twist is totally fun. Take your pick: old-school string, rhinestones, charms, ribbons, classic chains, and beads. Or, go back to camp, and DIY!

Selma always seems to have a trick up her sleeve when it comes to fashion - she's one of the few people I've seen attempt the sheer trend and pull it off. Her Marc Jacobs grey cashmere shell and skirt look not only luxurious but comfortable. Insert Coco Chanel quote here: "Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury." Add some simple, beautiful jewelry and a pop of color, and you've got yourself a modern classic.

Track and field star Jessica Ennis, currently in training for the London 2012 Olympics, recently admitted that she always competes in a full face of makeup. And Ennis's explanation of her race ritual to The Daily Mail certainly makes sense: "I definitely think if I feel I look good, it makes me feel more confident," she told the London paper.

Her story also made me wonder exactly what effect makeup could have on your complexion if you are really sweating up a storm. "Wearing makeup while working out can hinder some of the natural ways your skin adjusts to exertion, like sweating and dilating pores," says New York City dermatologist Erin Gilbert. Pippa Middleton Runs Into Trouble During a Posh Paris Weekend

Pippa Middleton left London to link up with friends in Paris over the weekend. She spent time Saturday and yesterday afternoon with her friends, brothers Marcy and Arthur de Soultrait, and on Saturday night, dressed up in a costume to attend Antoine de Tavernost's 29th birthday party. Antoine, the son of a French media mogul, hosted the Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette-themed bash that Pippa ended up leaving at 6 a.m.

She donned a period costume for a bash on Saturday night, but yesterday, during a car ride with the Soultraits and another pal, things got a bit weird - the third friend of Pippa pulled a gun on photographers. According to French law, publicly displaying a weapon - even if it's fake - is illegal, and the driver could face up to seven years in prison for the stunt. Even Pippa could be called before French police to testify in the case, and if found to have been complicit in the incident, could encounter jail time herself. Pippa and the Soultraits are mortified over the incident, according to reports.

Keira Knightley linked arms with boyfriend James Righton for an evening out in London yesterday. Following dinner at La Bodega Negra, they stopped at London's outpost of The Box, where, along with Downton Abbey's Dan Stephens, they saw a show from pianist Jean-Philippe Rio-Py.

Keira's Interview cover and feature just came out, and in the publication she opened up about her forthcoming film, Seeking a Friend at the End of the World. She stars in the end-of-the-world comedy opposite Steve Carell. She said of the project, "Well, Steve is absolutely wonderful. I loved his work on Little Miss Sunshine. He has this amazing ability to be incredibly funny but have that pathos at the same time - sort of that crying-clown thing. The movie itself has comic moments, but it's about the end of the world, so obviously it has an apocalyptic feel to it that's not that comic, because everybody dies . . . Other than that, though, it's hilarious!"

Change Your Personality to Be Happy, Study Says

We always think that getting what we want is the key to happiness. After all, if you had the perfect job, family, and life, you'd be happy, right? Not so much. It's human nature to always want more and to think that the grass is greener on the other side. What you can do to feel more satisfied with your place in life is to alter your personality. In fact, research has shown that personality is the strongest predictor of life satisfaction, while pay and marital status have much less influence on well-being.

A new study by the psychologists from the University of Manchester and London School of Economics and Political Science found that personalities are not fixed and that they can actually change given some time. Here are some of the traits the study noted that help increase a person's happiness:

Extroversion: Being more of an extrovert may lead to more social participation, which can increase happiness.
Less neurotic: Not responding with negative emotions to threatening situations can improve your well-being. Having more neuroticism can lead to physical symptoms and illnesses, as well as higher stress levels.
Agreeability: Being agreeable or to act in accordance with other people apparently predicts higher quality relationships. Being agreeable also means you have a tendency to be prosocial, which means you will help other people even if it doesn't benefit you. Conscientiousness: People who are conscientious have a lot of motivation and are driven by goals. These people are more likely to achieve success, which can affect life satisfaction.
Being open to experiences: This trait has the strongest links to certain aspects of intelligence.

So instead of making little changes to try and achieve joy, perhaps what you need is a personality overhaul. That's not to say that the personality you have now is inadequate, but developing the traits that induce overall well-being definitely can't hurt.

The couple are hanging out in Matthew's home country after a stint in LA, where they attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party and caught up with pals like Cameron Diaz. Kate and Matt have been in the UK with her mom Goldie Hawn, who hosted a fundraising event at the club Annabel's on Tuesday for her Hawn Foundation. The organization is aimed to help children be both successful and happy during and after school. Matthew and Kate were photographed at the bash sharing hugs with each other and Goldie, checking out a performance from singer Duffy, and catching up with England-based friends like designer Jonathan Saunders.
