Paperbag Pants

High-waist pants that have a gathered waistband, usually tied by a sash or belt made of the same fabric. The term originated because this new style of pant looks like the top of a paper bag. Skirts can also have the same paperbag-like detail. The moniker isn't appealing, but paperbag pants look great on tall girls who seek a comfortable androgynous look.

Double Take: Celebrity Clones, Part Deux

Being the celebrity clone-finder that I am, I have a fresh bunch of celebrity clones for you. First up, model Lisa Cant and actress Alexis Bledel. The similarity in their big, round baby blue eyes is undeniable, as is their rounded facial structure and fair skin. What's more, they're both delicate and doll-like. They can easily pass as sisters. If that were the case, Alexis would be the older one at 26, and Lisa would be the younger at 23. That's crazy because Alexis' baby face could have fooled me to think she's in her teens.

If Kate Moss wants to know what she'll look like in 20 years, all she has to do is look at Cashmere Mafia actress Christine Ebersole. The toothy smile, the blond hair, the fair, freckly skin, those small green eyes . . . they're eerily similar. Katharine McPhee's pout and eyes look a lot like those of Russian model Regina Feoktistova; new Guess model Line Gost is being called the young Sophia Loren and it's easy to see why; and Kate Bosworth can easily double as model Caroline Winberg. Fab Flash: It's Judgment Time For Delebrities

As the Fall season rolls around, celebrity designers (coined by WWD as delebrities), will be judged. With stores constantly on the hunt for the hottest commodity, it comes as no surprise that Hollywood entertainers like LL Cool J, Avril Lavigne, and Rachel Bilson are eager to get a cut of the action. LL Cool J for Sears, Abbey Dawn for Kohl's by Avril Lavigne, and Rachel Bilson's Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans will soon hit stores. Like many celebrity designers, they have ventured into a risky retail game and only time will tell if they will fail or prevail.

So what do the experts predict? "With all the competition out there, I really can't see girls seeking out clothing from LL Cool J for themselves to wear. Rachel Bilson, on the other hand, is a modern classic. She has great style and girls will want to dress like her. I could see her line lasting a long time" said Lisa Chase of CelebrityEverything.com, a website for the celebrity-obsessed crowd. Chase also predicts a short run for Lavigne's line at Kohl's.

It looks like you all are over the whole celebrity designer trend but I guess we'll just have to ride it out!

FABTV: Stella McCartney's Garden Party

If you can get beyond the spastic jazz music at the beginning, you'll enter a secret garden, aka Stella McCartney's 2009 Resort collection at a NYC park. Seeing pictures of Chanel Iman and Lisa Cant frolicking on the grass is not as compelling as seeing it on video. Models eating candy - gasp! - blowing bubbles and socializing makes me want to host a dressed-up picnic of my own (a light bulb just went off in my head). On a more serious note, Stella dishes about the reason for presenting in New York and her take on the latest collection, she even breaks it down into four parts) The girlie girl designer has set the bar high for future resort collection locations.

"That is one awesome bikini and I would love for it to be mine!"
