Knots, quiet pastels, supple leather belts, legs, shoulder love, redone trenches, The Kooks — everyone is singing praise about Burberry's Spring collection, shown last night. If you have 15 minutes to kill, I suggest you watch the runway video. Seeing the frothy, yet sleek, creations semifront row, along with the fabulously British soundtrack, is a wonderful work distraction.

New York Fashion Week ignites some trends, but it's in London where the envelope is pushed beyond the limit. Take, for example, Giles Deacon's Pac-Women. London Fashion Week is nearing completion, but there was enough quirk to last a lifetime, or at least until next season.

While my girls in London wrap up their own Fashion Week, Giles — someone I've always had my eye on — sent rather tame, graphic designs down his runway. But what wasn't tame was the Pac-Man-inspired massive head gear. So it's a bit distracting from the shift dresses and draped black gown, it's super fun.

I never thought I'd use the words London Fashion Week and wildlife in the same sentence, but that day has come my Fabbies. Wildlife Works, a company created in 1997 to protect wilderness habitats, made its fashion debut at last week's London Fashion Week, and there's no tree-hugging styles here . .

Luella's lighthearted frocks are spreading joy everywhere these days. Kelly Osbourne wore the designer's floral mini dress to the South Bank Show Awards with black opaque tights and red earrings. Kimberly Stewart wore the same dress to the opening of H&M on Regent Street in London with a tied blue cardigan and black tights.

Agyness Deyn's funky eyewear this week wasn't just a function of her quirky taste, it turns out. The model, who sported Max Headroom-like sunglasses at The Elle Style Awards earlier this week, and then an eye patch at her best friend Henry Holland's show yesterday, is suffering from pink eye.
The highly contagious eye infection is reportedly sweeping the models at London Fashion Week, and may cause some of them to have to sit the rest of the week out.

London darling Christopher Kane has gone mad for paillettes. While you will also see lots of sheerness in his Fall collection, the two textures complement each other brilliantly. Texture play is a major theme for Kane and proving to be one of his strengths.

In recent seasons, headlining British designers like Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, and Luella Bartley have returned to show on their home turf during London Fashion Week. Even Marc Jacobs chose to present his Marc by Marc Jacobs show in London a couple seasons ago.
Today, more proof that London is experiencing a fashion capital renaissance comes with a new coup d'etat: Vivienne Westwood, who has shown in Paris since the early '80s, is reportedly planning to unveil one or more of her Fall 2008 collections at London Fashion Week in February.

Since Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, the London designers behind Eley Kishimoto, were recently named the new creative directors for Cacharel, I thought I would give you a better introduction to their style.
Known in some circles as the patron saints of print, Eley Kishimoto has been credited with influencing the resurgence of patterns on the international design scene. They partnered in the 1992 directly after graduating from Central Saint Martins design school, starting in womenswear but eventually expanding into bags, jewelery, sunglasses, and even home accessories.
