UGG boots are bulky enough with all that thick shearling, but when you add ribbons and more height, it's just too much. I can't see myself, or anyone else for that matter, pulling off Love From Australia's Vixen Suede Over-the-Knee Boot ($400). In Antarctica they might come in handy, but I'd choose cold over tacky any day. Are you with me?

Miranda and Orlando Have a Family Lunch With Flynn

Miranda Kerr dined with her mom, Therese, and her two guys, Flynn and Orlando Bloom, at Potts Point in Sydney earlier today. The foursome smiled as they left the restaurant, and Flynn even got a lift from grandma. Flynn celebrated his first birthday last month, and at the time Miranda said he was just on the cusp of walking. Now, Flynn is starting to strut his stuff like his supermodel mom.

Miranda won't hit the catwalk at New York's Fashion Week, but she will meet with fans in Australia tomorrow to share skincare secrets and suggest Valentine's Day gift ideas. Miranda and Orlando got a jump on the holiday when they lounged poolside with Flynn, sipping champagne and sharing sweet kisses, last week. Miranda Kerr Gets Red-Hot to Celebrate a New Gig With Qantas

Miranda Kerr wore a red Georges Chakra dress for the Qantas Airways Spirit of Australia Party last night at LA's Roosevelt Hotel. The model is one of the airline's new celebrity ambassadors, along with fellow Aussie David Whitehill. Miranda seems super excited about her latest job. She tweeted yesterday, "I'm excited to represent Qantas as a global Ambassador. I love everything Australian, and Qantas is an iconic Australian company." She was joined by many other celebs from the land down under, including Chris Hemsworth, Olivia Newton-John, and Ryan Kwanten. John Travolta went as well despite being 100% American, but he is an aviation enthusiast. We caught a moment with Miranda on her way inside. She gave us an update on her son Flynn, who turned one on Jan. 6, and said Orlando Bloom was home on daddy duty - stay tuned for that today on PopSugar Rush!

Kim Kardashian Moves Past Her Split For a Launch Down Under

Kim Kardashian had the support of her sister Khloe Kardashian and brother-in-law Lamar Odom this morning for the launch of their Kardashian Kollection handbags in Sydney. They're in Australia for a string of promotional events, including an in-store appearance at a David Jones location tomorrow. All the business dealings have hardly distracted from the news of Kim's divorce. The full statement from Kim Kardashian about her split from her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, was released last night. In the release, Kim said she's donating money from her wedding to charity and really believes she was just following her heart. She said she just wants, "a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed into something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have."

Instead of quieting rumors about their marriage being a publicity stunt, the reverse seems to have come true. Kim's on the cover of multiple weekly tabloids, each examining how and why the relationship went wrong. Apparently, Kim wanted to call off the wedding after having a feeling things wouldn't work out. Ultimately, though, real life with Kris was too hard for Kim, leading her to pull the plug.

The cast of Gossip Girl was back to work in the Big Apple yesterday, filming at multiple locations around town. Blake Lively changed from green shorts and a sweater into sequins and a flowy skirt, while Leighton Meester, in a camel fascinator and leopard-print shift, teamed up with Ed Westwick at Central Park's duck pond. Chace Crawford got back to work as well, sharing an exchange of words, and hot kisses, with returning face Kaylee DeFer. The small-screen costars went their separate ways over the Summer. Blake vacationed in Europe and recently visited Leonardo DiCaprio in Australia, as Leighton promoted Vera Wang's latest fragrance, Love Struck, and talked makeup tips with BellaSugar. The entire gang has been steadily working for the past month, on both coasts, for what's sure to be an exciting return on Sept. 26 following their jaw-dropping season four finale.

Katie Holmes: I "Held My Daughter Closer" After First Reading Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark

Katie Holmes linked up with her Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark producer Guillermo del Toro recently in NYC to chat about their scary film. They were in Australia nearly two years ago shooting the project, which was directed by Troy Nixey. Katie dished about their shoot down under, saying she loved their desserts - actually, after the interview was over, Katie beelined to the junket's dessert tray to eat sweets with young costar Bailee Madison. Katie had kind words to share about Bailee and Guillermo, and shared her favorite movies of the moment and how she prepped to act in such a scary film. Katie said:

On getting to know Bailee on set: "It was a pleasure working with Bailee and getting to know her mom Patti. They're so lovely, such a nice family . . . I think it’s really fun to work on movies because everyone's families get to know each other. I know Guillermo’s family, he knows my family, and we all stay in touch. We're all raising children in a very creative environment - it’s great fun. Bailee is a very strong human being and she is so good at what she does. We're going to see many of her films over time."
On doing the movie: "I was really excited to work with Guillermo, first of all. And I love this script. I was scared reading it. I love these characters and I really loved [my character] Kim’s journey from really resisting a relationship with [Bailee Madison's] Sally then getting to the point where she can identify with Sally. I love that emotional tension and then turning it into a great emotional art. It was really fun and challenging, and I really loved how strong these two female characters are. It’s great to see on film and it’s really fun to portray."
On being on the set: "We loved Melbourne, Australia. The people in town were so lovely, and they have the best doughnuts and great bookstores and great pavlova."
On watching scary movies growing up: "I did! I was affected by them, and when I read this script, I was so terrified that I started hearing noises - and I kind of held my daughter closer and looked in the corners of her bedroom a couple of times. I really enjoyed being a part of this, because I really do think it takes the audience on that thrill ride."
