Vintage Rolex Watch Via J.Crew: Love It or Hate It?

There's been lots of love for macho watches lately. I'll pass, but I love the look on others. DearSugar, quite the watch aficionado, pointed this Vintage Rolex® 14k gold "shell" Oyster Perpetual on riveted Oyster bracelet, circa 1960s ($5,200) out to me. It appears J.Crew is exclusively featuring vintage Rolex watches. It compliments J.Crew's cool, yuppy vibe, but I still refuse to spend that much on a timepiece. Thoughts?

Remember when Nina Garcia lent us some wise words? Remember one of her fashion essentials was a man's watch? I thought this was the most niche of her picks, as someone who doesn't even wear a watch, but I understand its appeal. The macho watch is strong, cool and sexy, in that power dressing kind of way. Selita Ebanks doesn't mind posing for the camera. Sporting her cropped do, the model looked fresh and fantastic in NYC during a visit to The Tyra Banks Show to celebrate the first all-black model issue of Vogue Italia. It looks like walking down the runway has perfected her art of styling. I like how she wrapped a brown belt around her cuffed Smythe boyfriend blazer and spiced things up with those colorful cut-out heels. One word describes this look: Fab!
