A Sneak Peek at Madonna's New H&M Collection! Part III

Alas, all good things come to an end. But really, this is just the beginning for Madonna's new collection for H&M because it will be in stores this Thursday! I have given you a sneak peek at the accessories and the "lights" and I saved the best for last - the "darks."

According to the grand dame, she "wanted something casual but naughty, sensible but sexy. That's me. That's how I am. I wanted the collection to be for a working girl." Yep, I would say that describes the collection. With friendly fabrics like jersey, cotton poplin, leather and Lycra we can all strike a pose in any of these garments.

You will see influences of 70s disco dresses and leather jackets, 80s dancewear, kimonos and sharp tailoring - all subtly screaming Madonna. Madonna relayed "This is a combination of outfits I would love to wear. Bits and pieces have been inspired by the outfits in my own wardrobe, and also by what I love..."

And what do we love? Madonna & her gift to us of beautiful clothes at affordable prices!

We told you we had the inside scoop on Madonna's new collection for H&M that will be in stores this Thursday, March 22! We have a three part series and we've already shared the accessories and now we are moving on to the "lights."

If you trace Madonna's style, when she makes red carpet appearances and press tours, she has a rather classic look these days. I think with this collection she wanted to share her more sophisticated approach to clothes via beautifully draped dresses and classic pieces like trenches and feminine separates. Madonna's pizazz is delivered through sporty styling and metallic touches. Here are a couple of my favorites, including a sassy short sequin dress!

You've heard the news and seen the ads. But none of us have seen much of the clothes. I am happy to announce that we got the inside scoop on Madonna's new collection for H&M that will be in stores March 22 - next week! You'll see these goodies here first so get ready to get excited. FABTV: Matthew Williamson For H&M Needs a Change

Behold: Matthew Williamson's first commercial for his Summer collection. Directed by Johan Renck, who has directed music videos for artists including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Beyoncé, it explores the theme "We need a Change." The song itself was produced exclusively for H&M. It features the collection's perennial muse, Daria Werbowy, as well as model Elsa Hosk, and the designer himself - who lands on Earth via meteor surrounded by models in his Summer garb. It's a fun mix of silly and Euro flavor, check it.

Celebrity Style: Lauren Conrad

Whether or not Lauren Conrad returns to The Hills, one thing is for sure: She's going to continue having a good time. Over the weekend, the reality starlet visited LA's hottest club, My House, wearing a simple yellow t-shirt dress and an M by Madonna for H&M leather jacket. The most expensive pieces in her ensemble are her Chanel clutch and Christian Louboutin lace-up heels. The rhinestone necklace supplies much-needed sparkle, while her signature braid adds boho flavor.

I'm sure Audrey Hepburn would approve of City Chic's classy look. She spotted some of her favorite celebs wearing Chanel cap-toe shoes and wanted a pair of her own. Alas, money was tight so she opted to buy these Chanel-inspired pumps. Go go Coco!

Don't Call Her Copycat Kate!

Here's the latest on Kate Moss's Topshop line due out in T-minus twelve days and counting! We stumbled upon a little story via the Daily Mail that is badmouthing our girl a bit. They ask the question: "Has Kate Moss done anything more for the money than open up her own wardrobe?" Well, seeing as how she was approached to do the collection because she is a style icon and has fresh style, I think taking inspiration from her closet is a good start! After all, this was the technique Madonna used for her recent H&M collection. I don't think raiding a coveted closet is such a bad thing...but I would hope in her future collections we see some never-witnessed-before brilliance. Time will tell. In the meantime, May 1st fast approaches and this floral dress has Fab written all over it. To see more of these comparisons click here.
