Congratulations red leather and relatives, you are officially noncheesy anymore. Berry-stained leather, as exhibited by the ravenous Rachel Weisz in Spain, is utterly appetizing. Of course, a lot depends on the accompaniments. Weisz smartly wore her smooth berry leather jacket with an adorable blue floral dress - both Marc Jacobs Resort - and killer black Barbara Bui suede sandals; she did no wrong. Keeping things feminine and unique will let your raspberry, blueberry, or tayberry piece pop.

2010 Spring New York Fashion Week: Marc Jacobs

If you suffer from pediophobia, you may despise Marc Jacob's Spring collection. A mix of harlequin, geisha, and cabaret cutie, ultimately, the theatric collection manifested like a melange of stern-faced dolls in high-fashion fixings. An abundance of ruffles, sometimes completely covering a frock, is over-the-top femme. Beading, layering, florals and plaids, and inside-out corsetry gave way to a complex collection. The one steady, and no doubt sell-worthy, aspect: outerwear. Marc has a sharp scissor when it comes to military coats and crisp jackets; these brought the fantasy back to reality. In addition, navy pinstripe got the ruffle treatment, giving way to nuanced tailoring. The drippy gowns aren't the most dreamy, but everything else is imagination gone gaga. Speaking of, Lady Gaga and Madonna were famous front rowers, and Perez Hilton was present. Always a surprise or two at MJ . . .

We're well acquainted with Lady Gaga by now. We know she's ballsy and highly experimental with her style. But this latest batch of outfits - two of them from Marc Jacobs's Fall '09 show - is the craziest yet. From London to Berlin, the bold singer has further pushed the envelope in bold shoulders, neon yellow, bubble skirts, and leather. I always appreciated Blossom Russo's haphazardly cool style. With partner in crime Six, the two ruled the early '90s in their funky floral hats, vests, crazy prints, and cool loafers. I especially adored Blossom's knack for wearing oversize blazers and mismatched outfits. Indeed, Blossom was in her own fashion world - who would have thought her styling tricks are some of today's hottest trends? Fun fact: Blossom, aka Mayim Bialik, left Hollywood to get a PhD in neuroscience from UCLA. Double awesome.

Inglourious Style Brigade

Last night was a big night for the cool cast of Inglourious Basterds. At the New York premiere, co-hosted by Hugo Boss, a wild mix of Hollywood and fashion folk came out to support Quentin and Co. We already saluted Diane Kruger in her sparkling Miu Miu, but really, there was a festive mix of glam, casual, city, and street. Cinema-loving designers included Marc Jacobs and beau, Zac Posen, Rachel Roy, and Nicole Miller. And it's always lovely to see style mavens Michelle Monaghan and Eva Amurri.
