Will the model in Marie Claire's April issue please stand up? Hopefully we'll find out who this blond beauty is, but for now, let's enjoy the eye candy. I was instantly magnetized to the exotic beach backdrop, tribal accessories, and crazy braids. Of course it was the lush assortment of Lanvin, Ungaro, Givenchy, and Matthew Williamson, to name a few, that really drew me in. Summer is all about bold colors and floaty fabrics; Maire Claire is showing us a number of ways to work it through jumpsuits, loose tops, and frocks cut in every way imaginable. Since I can't afford these delectable pieces, I'll create my own colorful wardrobe inspired by this palette. You have to make it work, right?

We all know what goes on inside an issue of Marie Claire, but now we can witness what happens inside the inside. The Masthead With Marie Claire is a video series that goes behind the scenes of the publication's photo shoots to reveal styling and beauty secrets. Editor in Chief Joanna Coles narrates and other editors divulge the logic behind their fashion editorial decisions. In this particular episode, we get inside info about a tribute shoot for the late Yves Saint Laurent. Joanna shares interesting tidbits, including that they not only pulled YSL clothing but also pieces by other designers who were inspired by him. The camera also follows photographer Kevin Sinclair as he works to get the money shots.

I'm a sucker for reality shows, especially ones pertaining to fashion. Now there's another one to become addicted to, Running in Heels. The premise is three interns - Samantha, Ashley, and Talita - wholeheartedly delve into the world of Marie Claire and fight for a position at the mag. Besides getting behind-the-scenes access to the NYC office, you'll witness the masters at work. Fashion Director Nina Garcia and Senior Fashion Editor Zanna Roberts will be among the editors making cameos and mentoring the girls.

Think of it as Stylista with less contestants, less drama, and a different publication. Tune in to the Style channel March 1. I wonder if they really will be running in heels . . .

Girls on Film: Karl's Couture Calendar

There's no doubt Karl Lagerfeld has a knack for photography. He already has campaign ads under his belt and next are calendars. In collaboration with Italian Marie Claire, the Kaiser himself will be creating a couture-filled calendar featuring Eva Herzigova playing a dozen different characters. “It’s about how one girl can be every woman. It’s an idea I love,” said Lagerfeld. “We did the shoot in one night, from 8 in the evening until 8 in the morning.” The calendar will be available Dec. 16 at select bookstores. Fab Flash: The Battle Over Project Runway Continues

The drama continues: Bravo and Lifetime are still fighting over Project Runway. The Weinstein Co. has filed an appeal after a judge ruling in NBC's favor blocking the show's move from Bravo to Lifetime.

“Obviously we will be appealing and remain committed to our partners,” said the company.

As the companies battle it out, everything will remain the same and season six filming continues - with its home to be determined.

NBC Universal, who was ordered to pay a $20 million bond, and The Weinstein Co. are due back in court Oct. 15 to (finally) settle the matter. With everything up in the air, we can't but wonder if Nina Garcia and Marie Claire will still be part of the show. Hopefully, everything will be resolved before the sixth season airs.

Fab Blab: Maggie Gyllenhaal Cares What the Media Thinks

Judging from Maggie Gyllenhaal's nonconformist sense of style, you wouldn't think she cares about what other people, including the tabloids, say about her fashion choices. But she's only human, and in August's Marie Claire (on set, left), she confesses her feelings about finding herself on "worst dressed" lists.

"Sometimes it freaks me out. I've been so hurt and felt so bad." Luckily, the actress is learning to move on with her life, saying "People will always say mean things about you if you put yourself out there."

Ain't that the truth. If you don't take risks, you'll never get ahead, and that goes for fashion as well. We love you and your wardrobe choices, Maggie, and we hope you continue to spice up the red carpet.

This Just In! Nina Garcia To Join Marie Claire This Fall

One more update on the Nina Garcia situation and I'll stop. I promise. The final word is that Nina will be joining Marie Claire as fashion director in September. Yes, ladies and gents, she has accepted the offer and will replace Tracy Taylor, who has already left the magazine. Congrats (again), Nina!

Fab Flash: Nina Garcia Still Has Decisions to Make

The future is still unsteady for Nina Garcia.

Garcia was set to continue season 5 of Project Runway while finishing her contributing editor position with Elle. She was planning on continuing alliances with the show through Marie Claire after her departure from her former employer. The reports have now been declared inaccurate by a spokesman from The Weinstein Co., stating that Garcia and Michael Kors are still in the midst of contract negotiations with the show for season 5 and 6. Garcia is also negotiating the terms on her relationship, or lack thereof, with Elle's owner, Filipacchi Media.

Whew! Are we all over all this Garcia back and forth?

Fab Flash: Nina Garcia Lands Job at Marie Claire

After much speculation, we finally know where Nina Garcia is going. The former Elle fashion director has been offered a position at Marie Claire. She will reportedly replace Tracy Taylor, the current fashion director at the magazine. The Project Runway star has not commented yet, but reliable sources have confirmed the news. Congrats Nina. We can't wait to see more fabulous work from you!
