Fab Ad: Longchamp Fall/Winter 2007 Featuring Kate Moss

Kate is the face of Longchamp once again. The campaign pictures were shot in April by Mario Sorrenti at Pier 59 Studios in New York. I have to say, I think this is the best set of ads she's done for Longchamp yet. I like the colors - very fall, and I find it interesting that they have her with a dark veil over her head - in some of the pictures, she is even posing in a very innocent bride kind of way.

Fab Ad: Aquascutum Fall/Winter 2007 Featuring Gisele

Gisele may have recently parted ways with Victoria's Secret, but that doesn't mean she has said goodbye to modeling once and for all! The Brazilian babe is back in front of the high fashion lenses for Aquascutum's Fall/Winter '07 ad campaign. And don't forget she will be the upcoming face of YSl's Fall ads too. This is good news to all you Gisele fans!

Shot in Cliveden - a British mansion infamous for housing a political and sex scandal in the sixties - Gisele is cast by photographer Mario Sorrenti as a bombshell involved in trysts and intrigue. The ads will run in magazines starting in August and September.

I love the idea behind the photographs, but I'm not so sure about the clothes and the finished product. What do you all think?

Fab Ad: Lindsay Lohan for Jill Stuart

We can all look forward to a larger presence from girly designer Jill Stuart, especially since Lindsay Lohan is the new JS girl. I would always pop into the JS store in Soho in NYC and oogle over her lacy dresses and super fab shoes. I am excited for the clothing line and accessories overhaul. And here is one of the first images to go along with the it.

The attempt, shot by Mario Sorrenti, is no doubt Brigitte Bardot sex kitten. While you all know I'm not digging Lindsay as a blonde, she does have that come hither look. The wrinkled sheets are an artsy touch and the black sequined mini skirt definitely suits Lindsay. But, haven't we seen the laying-in-bed-almost-in-the-buff attempt before? The photo may be pretty but it's a bit ho-hum. Oh, and then there's the oversized black patent handbag she is cozying up with; it has It bag potential.

Evidently the ad will run from August through November. Stuart proclaims:

"I can't say enough fantastic things about Lindsay...she is sexy and smart, exactly what the Jill Stuart woman embodies."

Well, we'll see about that. What do you all think?

Fab Ad: Bally Fall '09

Brian Atwood is gradually having a heavier hand in Bally's creative vision. Right on. For Fall, the brand stuck with muse Christy Turlington, who is paired up with Oriol Elcacho. According to Atwood, "Christy is simply the perfect Bally woman; graceful, intelligent, and natural; she exudes a sophisticated ease; her sensual beauty is perfectly complemented by Oriol’s strong and confident presence." The scene, shot by Mario Sorrenti, balances architecture with natural simplicity. The couple are striding - sophisticated, at ease, and confident. I can't help but stare at Christy's belted sheer purple print dress. The ads could have more pizazz, but are lovely nonetheless. Thoughts?

Mango Swaps Penelope For Scarlett

Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson have a lot in common. Besides starring in one of my favorite recent movies, Vicky Christina Barcelona, the two Hollywood beauties also share a love for Mango. The Spanish retailer just announced Scarlett Johansson will be succeeding our beloved Penelope as Mango's new face. The brand describes Scarlett as the ideal Mango woman: "chic, independent, and cosmopolitan," also stating, "Johansson exudes a confident demeanor while remaining youthful and playful." Tear, we'll miss you Penelope. Johansson will make her first Mango debut in the Fall '09 campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti.

Fab Ad: Bally Spring '09

For his first ad campaign as creative director of Bally, designer Brian Atwood chose to work with supermodel Christy Turlington. And why not? She's still got what it takes. Mario Sorrenti snapped Christy and male model Oriol Elcacho as a sophisticated and nonchalant couple lounging poolside in Miami Beach. Nice. The vivid colors of the lawn chair, the crisp green grass, and blue pool water serve as a happy background for Atwood's slick shoes. Do you approve of the outcome or should Atwood have gone another direction?

Fab Ad: Nina Ricci Spring/Summer '08

Nina Ricci's Spring/Summer '08 ad campaign can easily be mistaken for Fall/Winter ads. The dark hues and layered clothes hardly scream Spring. Clearly that's what Olivier Theyskens was going for so he chose the ideal models - Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski - to convey the brooding mood. Regardless of the season, Mario Sorrenti's shots are captivating. They draw you in and make you want to dissect every aspect of each photo. But is it me or is Karlie Kloss (left) slightly upstaging Courtney? It may be her intense glare. What do you think about these ads?
