Strength and seduction ruled Ferragamo's Fall 2012 collection, both in its tailoring and sensuous color palette, and we have creative director Massimiliano Giornetti's fascination with Czarist Russia to credit. Specifically, the designer focused on the gilded elite from two distinct views, as seen in the strict, clean lines of the military-inspired silhouette and in the softer, sheer fabrics of the delicate lace dresses. In marrying the two ideas, we saw an interesting, albeit ultra-elegant, juxtaposition of pretty plum and mauve-hued frocks styled up with structured outerwear, diaphanous gowns paired with tough leather accessories, and opulently embroidered sweaters teamed up with long, luxe sergeant coats. At the heart of it all, though, the Fall '12 lineup was an excellent showcase of romantic, ladylike pieces, each perfectly adorned with equally charming chokers, velvet boots, and bright gold buttons. Temperley London's Fall 2012 collection was as good as gold, literally. Inspired by the decadence of religious paintings and tapestries from the Renaissance, Alice Temperley turned out glamour girls in shiny pantsuits, lovely lamé, and brocade and velvet dresses. A military-inspired cape coat and a velvet jumpsuit were standouts in our eyes, but watch the entire runway show to see what your favorite pieces are!

Alexander Wang staged a dark and dramatic show tonight at Pier 94, setting the mood for a high-impact show complete with a tricky "runway" configuration, strategically placed mirrors, and our favorite highlight of the night, a surprise appearance from Gisele Bundchen. "I personally think he's a great guy, a great person, and he's always so sincere," said Bundchen. "He asked me and I'm very happy that I was able to be here." The show kicked off with a vast array of structured, lacquered wool coats paired with laser-cut fishnet turtlenecks - pulled over part of the face to look like a mask - and waxed suede manipulated to look like leather. The latter was used to create black- and oxblood-hued military-inspired dresses and sexy front-slit skirts. Then came the fringe, thus far a burgeoning trend on the Fall runways, juxtaposed on crisp collared shirtdresses and tops. The surprise closer of the evening featured top models like Karolina Kurkova and Bundchen facing the mirrors - then peeling off their half-masks. Mystifying? Yes, but there's no confusion when it comes to Wang and his modern way of thinking.

Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum left their London hotel yesterday, where they were staying while in town to promote The Vow. The costars started their day with a visit to BBC's Radio 1 studios, and Rachel McAdams's black military-inspired coat by The Row turned heads for the appearance. Rachel took the coat from day to night, adding a blue scarf, jeans, and black wedges to stay warm in the London cold.

While Channing is across the pond, his latest costars were busy at the NYC premiere of Haywire last night. Ewan McGregor and Gina Carano joined director Steven Soderbergh on the black carpet for the film, which is already receiving great reviews.

Abbey Lee Kershaw opened Versace Fall wearing a sharp military coat, like the sexy blond captain of an army of equally sexy soldiers, who marched down the runway in meticulously tailored dresses and coats. The clothes were cut tight to the body and bore geometric cutouts, subtly adorned with military-inspired gold buttons and pockets. Leather made an appearance in full leather skirts with matching leather jackets, a cool mix of badass uniform and chic sophistication. Behind the scenes, it's Donatella who is the real general at Camp Versace, drilling home Italian sexiness. It was a show heavy in black, but Versace's signature colors - turquoise and purple - popped up in an oversized baroque print and two-toned suede lace-up booties. For the finale, things got a bit more celebratory, with flowy gowns bearing thigh-high slits similar to Gucci, and Arizona Muse closing triumphantly in a white beaded gown.
