Miranda may have one of the most far fetched wardrobes in the Sex and the City movie, mainly because she's a working mother who wears super chunky earrings, but it's fantasy land right? And it's fashion fodder for us. This is more of a Fall look that seriously complements Miranda auburn coloring but without the hefty Charlotte Ronson sweater jacket is Summer ready. In the movie her brown dress is Natalie Eshkenasy, her gold t-straps are Oscar de la Renta and her Faboo patchwork bag is Stuart Weitzman. See, aren't you glad I found a much cheaper way to act the part of Miranda Hobbes?

The Look For Less: Miranda Hobbes

If you've seen the Sex and the City movie, you know that Cynthia Nixon's character, Miranda Hobbes, was leaps and bounds more stylish in the flick than she was in the show. Perhaps age made her fashion-wise or maybe Carrie's flair for style rubbed off on her. Either way, she left behind the pinstripe suits and busted out the chunky earrings, colorful frocks, and stilettos.

Fans will be thrilled to know that back by popular demand is the inexpensive Maggy London dress Miranda wore in one of the first scenes of the movie; she wore it with an Alexander McQueen bag, Gucci pumps and a vintage belt. Sex and the City: Miranda's Brooklyn Home

By now, I bet the majority of you have seen the Sex and the City movie, right? And if not, you've gotten a taste for the movie's fashion, as well as some of the interiors already. I recently got my hands on some stills from Miranda's Brooklyn house, and had to share them with all of you.
I honestly have to say that Miranda's home is probably my favorite in the entire movie, simply because it is the most real. Even though Miranda and Steve's house has great bones, as well as some lovely home accessories, it is a bit jumbled. And that's okay, because obviously Miranda's life is jumbled, too, what with a child, a full-time job, and other, um, complications that I won't share because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't yet seen the film.

read more. For instance, take a look at the handprints to the left of the fireplace in the first photo. Those prints tell a story that we, the audience, isn't privy to - it could represent a mischievous painting addition by Brady, or perhaps even a little midpainting make-out session between Steve and Miranda. I also love that many of Miranda's more reserved and uptight UWS apartment accessories can be spotted in the Brooklyn home, though now they are overwhelmed by Brady's gigantic stuffed animals. I'm curious - did you like Miranda and Steve's Brooklyn home, or did you find it too "real" for the fantasy that is Sex and the City?

What's better than Mexico? Why, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda in Mexico! Now if only they had filmed in Zihuatanejo during my trip. Oh well, next time. It's no surprise that the Fab four brightened the already-colorful background of their hot locale by wearing gorgeous swimsuits and cover-ups. Some of their outfit choices, mainly Samantha's, were too extreme for the average gal, but if you're a part of Sex and the City, you're anything but average. Oh, and if you want to know what they're cracking up about, go see the movie.

It's so strange that after months of in-your-face advertisements and semi-revealing movie trailers, the hype is over. But thankfully, the wonderful fashions have not yet expired. In case you've been MIA, the whole Sugar gang finally saw the Sex and the City movie. But don't worry, I'm not going to utter a word about the story line. What I am going to open my trap about are the wardrobes of the fabulous foursome, courtesy of Patricia Field. Almost all of Carrie's outfits were dead on and gush worthy, but it was a little strange to see Miranda always dressed up and accessorized. I guess she's grown up and now appreciates fashion! Because I'm Fab, I was instantly able to identify what each character was wearing as soon as I saw it. Not! Let's just say I have friends in high places who were amazing enough to share their wealth of wardrobe knowledge. And what an excessive amount of wealth it is - dive in!

Sex and the City Movie Tech: Miranda and Her BB

We're in the homestretch now of our Sex and the City Movie premiere, and I can honestly say, Christmas came early this year! We've already jogged our memories on tech from past seasons, and last week we learned about some of the gadget gear from the movie! So Samantha has an iPhone, Louise (Carrie's assistant, played by Jennifer Hudson) uses a Sidekick, and Carrie likes to mix it up between cell phones and pay phones.

And what about Miranda you ask? You'll find her with a BlackBerry 8700, which is kinda odd, considering there have been at least three new models out since they started filming!
