Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni showed a world of colorblock, structured silhouettes, and small-scale prints for Fall 2012. '60s mod styling got a dose of Eastern influence on the runway - models were clad in bright shift dresses, trousers, and skirt suits, almost always topped with a boxy coat and cinched at the waist with wide leather belts. The designer also offered up slick coats in luxe exotic looks like python, patent leather, and plaid-print furs, which proved visually stunning alongside head-to-toe black and gold jacquard and floral-print ensembles. Hopefully, you haven't tired of the hosiery trend yet; white tights were layered under each look (even pants), then finished with Kabuki-style platform Mary Janes for a vaguely Oriental feel. Even though sisters Savannah and Sienna Miller left the brand earlier this year, the ultra-cool Twenty8Twelve girl that they created is still very much present in the Fall '12 collection. Designers Vanessa James and Elsa Elphick offered a '60s mod grouping for the season, featuring Beatnik-style babydoll frocks with tights, slim-fitting trousers and flawlessly-cut coats - all perfect pieces for the seemingly effortless girl-about-town. They also played with prints - we saw the Prince of Wales check on tailored trousers, a silk blouse and skirt were cut in bold florals, and a psychedelic pattern popped up on a pair of slouchy shorts. Overall, Twenty8Twelve still has the same pretty, cool-girl appeal, and we're really feeling this Fall collection.

Moschino Cheap & Chic channeled some of the more notable psychedelic '60s styles with an updated twist. Our favorite in the mod mix? Patchwork lace - it looks way prettier than it sounds - was pieced together into long-sleeved blouses, pencil skirts, and one totally covetable cocktail dress. Pair that retro vibe with military-inspired accents and an overarching beauty motif, and you've got the brand's Fall '12 ethos in a nutshell. The blend of tougher outerwear with rainbow fur add-ons, brightly-hued quilted accessories, Audrey-Hepburn worthy flats, and Grandma's hand-crocheted squares artfully sewn into the bodices and shoulders of cozy toppers showed off a girl who's both flirty and strongwilled. To polish off the femme affair, Moschino sent out beauty-themed prints and cotton ball-cum-pom pom details, as if the contents of one's makeup bag had been splashed onto the front of a cute daytime sheath. Halloween Costume Idea: Veruca Salt

The costume: Veruca Salt
No, we're not talking about the '90s band. We're talking about the one and only spoiled rich girl of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fame.

Hair and makeup: Have strawberry blond hair (or a strawberry blond wig)? That's step one. Step two is to dot in a few freckles with a brown-red eyeliner or lip liner in colors such as sienna or rust. Step three? Add some kind of warm, peachy cheek and lip color for a youthful glow.

What to wear: If you have the dough (or your rich father does, obviously), head to Etsy, where seller srdodd will sew up a custom dress ($200) for you. Otherwise, eBay or your local thrift store should have some type of mod-era red frock. Top off with a white laced dickey, white tights, a black belt, and black Mary Janes.

Take it to the next level: Walk around with a sourpuss pout and a spoiled brat attitude. Just stay away from any and all rubbish shoots.
